    In need of nice IEMs!

First of all, you may find more help in the recommendations thread http://www.head-fi.org/f/7840/introductions-help-and-recommendations   But, I would suggest starting with the...

REVIEW: EarSonics SM1 - Viva La France

Although this thread is a bit aged, I would love if you could give a quick comparison of the EXS X10, HF5, and the SM1. Your review has me thoroughly intrigued (:

    Vsonic GR06 Review

Quote:   Works well and is, like the rest of the IEM, very nicely put together, but I did get mine about half a year ago, so it's not exactly recent.

Budget Classical Music Headphone/IEM for 100$

My vote still stands by the RE400. The most neutral and flat out of the budget, but if you wanted to stretch it a bit the R50 and B2 (DBA-02) would be great for the analytical signature.

Budget Classical Music Headphone/IEM for 100$

Just to clarify (@OP), you are looking for an IEM that's good with classical music AND compliments the FA-003, correct? May I also assume that you would like a neutral signature, or are you just about open to anything that, in our respective opinions, we find good for classical music? It would...

Budget Classical Music Headphone/IEM for 100$

Have not tried the xp3 or the g2a (honestly don't even know what this is), but I will just say that you can't go wrong with the RE-400.

Budget Classical Music Headphone/IEM for 100$

I have not tried the Rain, so I will refrain from commenting on it. Strictly discussing classical music and the signature that would have the best synergy with this genre would be the RE0. It has a flatter response than any of the above mentioned earphones, neutral and detailed in a manner...

Transitioning from M50's to A900X's, but learned the A900X's aren't portable. What do I do?

Maybe check out V-Moda M-100? It would work nicely for your needs. Have not tried them myself, but I have tried the M-80 which I would rank around the same level as the M50 (but then again, different signature and M-80 is supraaural while M-100 is circum). You can read up on the big brother...

Looking for best in ear headphones for under $150

Quote: SE215 will fit ok. TF10 will stick out of your ears, and it's definitely not for under-helmet wear.

they'll fit. they have a pretty ergonomic fit in my case at least, and they don't stick out...so it'll be alright. either

    monster turbine copper pro eartips

Disregard my PM please. The tips you found at monstercable.com must be the actual stock tips that you've wanted. They are definitely silicon, and since they're direct from the Turbine's manufacturers (Monster Cable), it's almost certain that they are in fact what you've been looking for.

    monster turbine copper pro eartips

ok, time to face some facts. monster does NOT make replacements for the stock single flange silicon tips, only for the gel and foam supertips (and MAYBE the triple flange, but not likely). And honestly, they are not that great. There is a myriad of other eartips fitting your coppers, many of...

To all the people who got the i.Fuzen: I envy you. I got mine at $60 only a few months ago. And now you can buy three with that money?! I thought it was good at that price, but $20 is just...blech. Trust me, that's a steal.   Also, not sure if everyone knows this, but springtree.net is...

    Shure SE215, worth it?

Shure Olives fit comfortably, so if I may, I would suggest these. Or Comply too, but I'm not so sure on which specific models work with the HF5.

Looking for best in ear headphones for under $150

TDK BA200 and RE262 are really great under 150 for all around balance. EPH-100 for a more dynamic bass and mainstream sound. Rock-it R50 or Brainwavz B2 for analytical signature.

Need IEM heaphone recommendation for these needs...

Quote: Since the mids are the main focus of the signature and its extension is not the best in this price range, I'd suggest against the SE215 for the purpose of listening to trance. However, it does have a plentifully impactful low end and a slightly prominent, though shallow, treble...

does sound signature vary mostly by brand?

Quote: So it is. Thanks for the correction. It still doesn't change the fact that Monster Cable still technically was the engineer of many of the Beats products, but I see that it's possible that Monster was just something like a sponsor and the Beats division did what they wanted.
  23. eastPride

does sound signature vary mostly by brand?

Quote: "Beats" is not a brand. Monster Cable makes them, and while their house sound is usually focused on an impactful low end, they have a diverse palette of earphones. For example, the Miles Davis Trumpet Whatever has a V-shaped signature, while the Gold is balanced with particular...
