I've had my 1770's for a few months now. I am happy driving them with a fostex hp-a4. Volume with a dragonfly via my phone is a bit lacking though.

I just had my first listen to a GS1000e, I have to say that the soundstage and detail far surpasses other models maybe besides the PS1000 that I didn't get a chance to listen to. It might just be that I much prefer the G pads over the L or the ones on the SR60e that I have.

Just to chime in: I've had the H6 for over a year, and recently started to use it more again. Personally, I can't say I hear any notable difference between stock cable and the vmoda boom mic.
