Im another one of those who believe the 650's were a substancial improvement over the 600s. They improved upon areas that needed improvement making it a more balanced can. Just that much closer to their idea of perfection... and it is substancially closer in many aspects.

Another vote for mg head. I havent heard any headroom products but I know they arent usually known as warm/lush (especially low end products). Which is what you would want with a source such as yours... Bringing in a fast amp with a forward presentation could very well be overly fatiguging.

To me, the 650's are not any more laid back than the 600's. They do however continue the signature "laid back" sound and improve upon it. I think that maybe because the whole frequency range is filled in much better than with the 600's is the reason why one might perceive them as "less...

Yeah american history X was a neat movie. THe whole "curbing" thing was pretty damn viscious. I liked the use of black+white with flashbacks. The whole movie had this weird feel to it. Its interesting... has good meaning... and is just fun to watch.. Highly reccomended!
