Suggestions for Mid Range Open Back

I'm not super into how loud the bass is on the M50x is. In my opinion it's slightly lacking in bass. I take the increase treble equalizer and then turn it down just a little. I'm aware that the sound on open back cans are going to be a little less thumpy than the M50x. I'm just looking for...

I'll definetly keep my eye on those. They're only $57 right now. Seems really cheap for how good people say they sound.

Suggestions for Mid Range Open Back

It's been a while since I've been on the forum. I've been a little enveloped in PC hardware and VR (HTC Vive). Haven't really had time for audio. So I'm here because my M50x doesn't 100% cut it for me. I love everything about the headphones except that I'm completely shut out of my environment...

    Does anyone here actually earbuds?

I use the Apple EarPods because it's pretty much the only earbud designed headphone that doesn't suck. I like to be able to hear my environment and not have a suction cup in my ear. But I am thinking bout the Bose QC 20i. It can use the noise canceling to blend the outside world into your music...

    Looking for full sized headphones

Well the Mixr/Pro have a 3.5mm jacks in both ear cups and that allows you to plug your cable into either ear cup. Then someone else can plug their headphones into the other 3.5mm and listen to what you are listening to.

    Looking for full sized headphones

I usually, when getting full sized headphones, use them for a day. Then burn in the headphones and headband for around 48 hours. And do the M100s do the thing that the Beats Mixr/Pro does?

    Looking for full sized headphones

I'll be sure to see if I can find one of those at Best Buy to try out. And a quick little side note. Music I listen to is usually somewhat bassy. Ex - Dubstep, Pop & a little rap here and there. Carrying case is kind of a biggie. I have a AT2020 for microphone use while gaming. Removable cable...

    Looking for full sized headphones

    1. Anything under $450 would do.  2. Closed back please.  3. Mainly my cell phone for music listening and such (Galaxy S4). And my Astro Mixamp for gaming.  4. No real preference for material.  5. Something close to the Klipsch S4. I really liked the S4's because it was bassy yet an amazing...

    Looking for full sized headphones

So I'm looking for a good pair of phones. Something that appealed to me was really good build quality. I would like to be able to use these as gaming phones as well as music. One pair that has gotten my attention is the Sony MDR-X10. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Looking for a new pair of iems

Which would you think has the best soundstage? Sure I know the bass will be there but the main reason I liked the S4 is the sound stage upgrade I got from it.

Looking for a new pair of iems

So I am looking for a pair of in ear phones. I recently lost my Klipsch S4i and would like to buy a replacement. I would like to see what other headphones can compete with the S4. I am looking for around the $50 range that can match or exceed the bass output or the soundstage that the S4 offers...

Okay so I plan on buying a pair of AKG Q701 headphones. I will use these with my Behringer 502 for studio mixing. And with PC for gaming with Astro Mixamp and with iPod Touch 4 for music. I plan on getting a pair of closed back headphones for portability so no need to say how much the 701's...

Quote:   Woops, sorry. I use a Behringer XENYX502 with a AT2020 (If the microphone matters..). And I listen to computer sound through the mixer as well. And I have a Fiio E6 I use with my Klipsch S4. Not sure if the E6 would make a difference. I plan on getting a Fiio E11 or something in...

    AKG Q701 vs Astro A50

Quote: Alrighty I'll do that. I'm guessing I'll need a good sound card about $200 or more to get really good sound.

So say a Fiio E11 or what would you recommend?

    AKG Q701 vs Astro A50

Quote:   Well I have two amps at the moment. One I use for my mobile use. The Fiio E6. And then the Astro Mixamp 2013. Which I use with my M50s right now. I think I'm leaning a bit torwards the 701s. Although they lack a little bass I have my M50s if I need that.

That's what I was thinking but how everyone says Astro headphones are amazing. I needed a second opinion.

    AKG Q701 vs Astro A50

So I am in the market for some new headphones. I have some Klipsch S4i for portable listening so these headphones will be used at home. I currently use the Blue Yeti microphone with a pair of ATH-M50. I will use these primarily for gaming and I have a separate amp to make the AKG701 7.1 surround...
