Focal Elegia - what do you think?
No problem to solve as such, just a desire for a slightly warmer/fuller sound. If the Dekoni's take the Eligia a step in that direction then I'd be happy.- freaknout

Focal Elegia - what do you think?
I'm new to headphones, six months or so. Enjoy the sound of the experience of the Eligia, there's really nothing obviously poor sounding. After reading reviews I thought the Celestee might offer a slighly warmer/fuller sound. Some swear by the Dekoni pads and that could be a more cost effective...- freaknout

Should I... Buy a pair of the Dekoni Custom pads OR pick up a cheap pair of the Celestee I've spied?- freaknout

I managed to pick up a second hand Poly and I've got to say, I'm pretty happy. It wasn't nearly as problematic to set up as I'd feared and it suits MY use case perfectly. That being, using Mconnect to steer a Tidal stream (HD or otherwise) or local NAS stream to the Mojo2. Not really intending...- freaknout

I'm not saying the Poly doesn't work well or is fabulous for the purpose designed. Just my needs as assessed against the cost of buying new. Just my view. Others are happy I am happy. Would still very much consider a second hand one.- freaknout

Must admit, I too am wondering how long away a replacement will be. Two elements are lacking to me for a brand new device, 5ghz WiFi and an improved interface (from what I've read/observed).- freaknout

Meze Audio 109 Pro
Hi Peter Juust spotted what you use in your footer. I also have the Eligia and am considering the Meze 109 Pro as my "open back" option. How would you describe the differences between them in practice? Thanks J- freaknout

Thanks Daniel, some great food for thought. 2.4ghz is more prone to interference and that's an issue when an uninterrupted stream of data is important. As opposed to your home automation example. I'm not worried about the control structure/interface. There appear to be some great solutions out...- freaknout

Thanks Mark, I am coming around to that I'm afraid. I have the right "use case" but 2.4ghz is a little old hat now for a 3-5 year investment.- freaknout

Hi all, am looking at grabbing a second hand Poly to partner my Mojo2. A couple of questions if you don't mind. Does Poly support Tidal Connect, will it support HD quality? Does Poly suppport HD played from a Naim Uniti Core network storage? Thanks Jason- freaknout

Totally understand your frustration. Did you buy it new as it might be worth giving your dealer a call and seeing if they can help with a solution? How did it sound in comparison with the streaming board in the LS50W?- freaknout

Hiya I think it may have been bit perfect but perhaps not now? Using Tidal on my S21 with Mojo 2 it's output is 48kHz, unless I am doing something wrong. J- freaknout
