the best way imo is to use the optical out on either say the macbook or numberous sound cards and then run it into a dedicated amp with a fiber in.....thats how i roll

Yes. Ive told people so many times that the 2g nano is just not the same. I could hear the difference instantly. They downgraded in parts to save the .001" lol. They should have just made the case tougher...and im in. The line outs on all the pods are pretty decent though.

Well, I don't know about the ALAC...but as for the .zip, i believe that say winzip, just compresses the file and the receiver unzipps or decompresses it in such a way that the file remains unchanged. Ive never had any issues with that. I think that the only way that they could get a corrupt file...

.015 is so small. Maybe its good for smd, but i couldn't find myself to use it for like an xlr or 1/8 or such. I need like one roll of .025 and one of like .065 i guess.

good points man. What is the difference b/t the 44 series and the "no-clean" stuff? and isn't .025 butt small? Id say .065 is better? No?

I do find that like the qualia's, the sa5k is amp sensitive and sounds nice with an amp with rounded off highs, or a tube amp. As for eqing. Analog eq's give the sa5k a more smooth feel and not as exaggerated highs. A digi eq gives you much greater frequency control but a more detailed sound...
