Definitely. A3 sound much more muddy to me compare to A2. YMMV. If you like warm and dark sound. Sony xba a series is for you. And I found a2 is most balanced and clear overall.

kind of reviving old thread,  as of now, Final Audio Design Heaven series have very beautiful mids and vocal, Bass and treble is beautifully rendered as well. right from Heaven II up to VI, VII and VIII I don't have chance to try them yet

Base on audition for Klipsch quite long time ago. by comparing it to DBA MKII. Klipcsh is warmer. Personally I think it loses out to Heaven IV to every aspect, Soundstage, Vocal, Tonality, oand of course bass.

If you are contemplating whether to take A2 over A3, you have made good decision. A2 is more open and less weighty than A3, but both earphone is pretty weighty. soundstage wise, its ok, just nothing to shout about.   Have u try FAD Heaven II (cheaper, just less rumble bass) and IV?

First during audition, Heaven II makes me smile, then I try Heaven IV, it makes me happy. :))))

Have been trying Sony A2 and A3 today, A2 definitely sounds better than A3. It sounded more neutral. Maybe because I'm coming from DBA MK II - Sony H3 and back to DBA MK II again. Sony house sounds doesn't fit right to my taste. Btw Sony A2 is good for those who like warm and good decay bass sound.

h3 mid is somewhat lacking after A/B with these earphones

Fischer Audio DBA MK II. small, low profile, feels like you don't wear earphone at all. Cable is though, flat anti tangle cable. anyway. just notice your 100usd budget. but this one can go cheaper used. quite tough earphone, just very prone to water.
