Man will skydive from 130,000 feet tomorrow

I don't think I could ever willingly jump out of a plane, parachute or not. But I guess this is why the term "Go Big or Go Home" exists.

    My mum say's I need a razor...

Gillette Mach Three is the only non-electric razor I will use. For my coarse Asian facial hair, it's the only razor that will do the trick with comfort and ease, and still provides the best shave other than a straight razor. I find that anything over 3 blades can snag my facial hair and cause a...

    Superbad (revisited)

I'm a fan of Michael Cera, and have been since I first saw Arrested Development back when it was still on the air. To me, Michael Cera, Jason Bateman, and the late John Ritter are three generations of essentially the same actor. I can't help but laugh whenever they are on screen, they all have...

    Indiana Jones 4 - who's seen it?

It was alright. I loved watching Harrison back on the big screen as an action star. I loved watching Cate Blanchett, because honestly who doesn't like looking at Cate Blanchett? I thought John Hurt was fantastic, and I couldn't help but imagine Ray Winstone yelling "I AM BEOWULF!" at the...

DVD Titles With Best Picture Quality?

I love using recent Chinese films that depict Imperial China like Hero, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, and especially Curse of the Golden Flower. The extravagant use of color in combination with the architectural and clothing styles of Imperial China make for a great...

Cheap recorder that records in (mp3 and) WAV.

I don't know about cheap, but I have a Zoom H2. It records in mp3 and Wav in two or four stereo channels up to 96k. Cost me around $200 total, so it'd got a price, but it takes SD cards and you can use it to convert analog directly to digital as well. I recorded a Mars Volta concert live in...

    I didnt like the d-Jays, will I like q-Jays?

Why stop at two drivers? Take it up a notch to triple drivers! Or take the ultimate plunge: Quad Driver Madness!! But when I demoe'd the two side by side I did prefer the q-jays for trance like Armin van Buuren and John O Callaghan. If that helps at all.

    Iphone availability in the US.

I believe a 3G model is in the works right now. As far as I know the iPhone is plentiful here in the U.S. and I'm sure NYC has more than enough for the demand.

    Something like Coldplay?

Belle & Sebastian? Polyphonic Spree? Not extremely similar, but their songs are the type that you can love to sing to. And for a more relaxed and chill mood, try Sufjan Stevens. I just love to sit back and listen to Sufjan Stevens. Frou Frou / Imogen Heap is very enjoyable, too.

The relationship of Techno Music and Classical Music

I would think the easiest way to do this is to listen to a techno/trance/electronic/whathaveyou track that is a reworked arrangement of a classical song. The first thing that pops into my head is "Adagio for Strings", originally composed by Samuel Barber and eventually reworked by DJ Tiesto and...
