I imagine a foam ear plug can help when wearing a single APP. I've been doing just that opposite my Plantronics Voyager 5200; a one-ear piece with boom mic. I've generally been keeping foam earplugs handy during travels, in the case of noisy people sitting within earshot.

I stand corrected, as does MacRumors, regarding a 3 hour charge in 15 minutes. APP only gets 1 hour of use after a 15 minute charge. In hindsight, APP is perhaps not the right product for one who wishes to use headphones continuously for up to 14 hours of use. Given the static nature of seated...

Per MacRumors review, copied and pasted: A fully charged case will provide AirPods with more than 24 hours of listening time, or up to 11 hours of talk time. If you charge AirPods for 15 minutes in their case, you get up to 3 hours of listening time or over an hour of talk time.

There are lots of portable power banks out there in various capacities to keep a pair of APP operational on flights of varying distances.

You can buy one pair of one size. I learned that once I landed on the ordering page. How I got to the ordering page was following the instructions written on this page: https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/buy-replacement-airpods-pro-ear-tips/

I ordered replacement tips from Apple. Expressly for modification experiments. Bummer was that I was only allowed to buy one pair of a chosen size, instead of going for a few sets in order to have reserves on hand. The system is setup for only getting one pair at a time. But I learned why it...

I discovered that exchanging IPP eliminated my inability to obtain a seal. Which suggests that something else went wrong in my original pair and that tips or biology were less likely the culprit. My launch day set sealed as one would expect. During ensuing days, it started not sealing, which...

Apple AirPods Pro And NEW AirPods Pro 2nd Gen (from 23 Sep 2022) - Impressions

I felt that way also and I only imagined what it was going to be like once it gets real cold outside and its effect on case removal and handling. Then I came across this at a Mac oriented site that showed how the designers intended the IPP to push and swivel upwards for easier case removal. See...

    Beoplay E8

I noticed left drop-outs occurring on my E8s when on the streets of NYC. As opposed to railroad or subway, during which I experience no drop-outs using E8.

    Beoplay E8

My only hiccup lately is needing 2 presses to make it pair, rather than 1 press. Otherwise, my apparently freak E8's have been operating well enough, and sounding rich enough, that I've not bothered looking elsewhere. Also, for me it's all about listening on the go while bypassing wired...

    Beoplay E8

Maybe A/B test synch issues with a wired pair versus E8. I've not experienced synch issues, though lately I'm into explosive action fare with minimal dialogue. Nevertheless, I shall be on the lookout for any lag between tripping the explosive and the resulting detonation. :)

Spiral dots are not that isolating. Final Audio E series tips isolate very well considering it's not a Comply or Olive. Of the Comply, I'm liking the small size comfort. Strange, because in many others, I'm a medium.

I'd like to check that one out. Just installed the update. Sounds great. This is one satisfying true wireless IEM.

    Beoplay E8

I'm realizing how rich the Beoplay E8 sound without a perfect seal. I've been testing with Spiral Dots in Medium and they're mounted now. Seal's not perfect. I hear the murmur of people talking several seats down on the railroad. But turning on my sound and elevating volume they are less...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Not for anything, but I bought a low-name semi-wireless IEM November of last year for $30.00 and its sound made me think twice about keeping the Beoplay E8 that came after it in December. (Not to throw shade on the Beoplay ...) ;— D (it's all in the minor details, folks!) The November...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I checked out Jabra Elite 65T on Amazon US and so far only 1 review. But it's got an Amazon's Choice badge. At the same time, the search turned up a wealth of true wireless contenders. What aroused my curiosity is the Lightsky, under $60.00! titled thus: Wireless Earbuds Bluetooth Wireless...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

The convenience of a smaller charging case comes at the inconvenience of preventing a personal favorite tip from fitting. Beoplay E8’s hump-like case is not the smallest, but it has sufficiently deep wells for mounted tips in multiple makes and sizes.

Koss KSC75's. Dont Forget This Giant Killer in all the ''Hidden Gem'' Hype.

Koss KSC75 are so inexpensive that it make sense to have a backup, if only for its susceptibility. While you might have to send one back for warranty service, you can keep on rocking with the spare.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Any portable fully wireless IEM is liberating, and with liberation comes all sorts of places to use the IEMs. So that becomes a personal determining factor in what features make a difference for the buyer. Part of it is making peace with whatever could be lacking, while emphasizing the features...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

The unintended consequence of a small and pocketable charging case is the limitation it imposes on tip fitment. But if the IEM rocks in all other ways, one needs to adjust with the best tip that fits the case. Beoplay E8 present a hump-like case, but part of it is the depth of the tip chamber...

Can we please get back on topic? There’s a general wireless IEM thread for all wireless musings, rather than setting this IEM-specific thread adrift. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/going-fully-wireless-iems-too-soon-or-are-we-there-yet.861024/

Adventures in wireless land. Went to the grocery store this morning. Playing the usual crap music I would never tune into, nor stream. I had on my person Apple's wired Earpods and B&O E8. Decision time. Normally, one would think to use the wired headphones for speed and low mental overhead...

    *NEW* Chord Mojo (mini Hugo?!)

Indirectly introduced to Chord Mojo while demoing ISine’s at CanJam NY. So clean at loud volume. Guy running the table accidentally blasted my ears while trying to troubleshoot the Mojo - switched inputs while the volume was raised! Woof!

Final Audio Design Impressions and Discussion Thread

My brain is still contemplating the E3000 I trialed at CanJam NY last week. Sound was so great for its price. Its design so simple. Despite my present fervor for wireless commuting buds, this is one kit that's making me consider a wired IEM again. The rep was friendly and we talked quite a...
