Need Advice for a major Headphone Upgrade
Yeah, makes sense, although I would highly advise you to try before you buy, and I wouldn't even think about changing things like earpads until you've heard them. Don't start changing stuff before you've used them for a while, gotta get past the point where placebo can take effect.- Sanotter

Need Advice for a major Headphone Upgrade
Personally, I'd go for the open dt1990, since that will be better for pretty much everything unless you need to block out a ton of external noise. But yeah, I love these PM3s, although I got to try them out on loan from my local hi-fi shop for a month so it was a no-brainer really. What...- Sanotter

Need Advice for a major Headphone Upgrade
Hey, I've already kind of been through this myself, so this is my advice. So I own/owned dt990s, k702s, oppo pm3s and have tried dt770s. I would talk about the Sures/Denons, however, I have no experience with them. I personally use my k702's for everyday computer stuff, just because...- Sanotter

Deciding on amp/dac upgrade
Hey guys, currently in the process of upgrading my trusty fiio e10 to something a little better, any help/suggestions would be great. Primarily interested in using this for desktop use, although if it's also portable that could be good too. Headphones that I'd use with it are the k702...- Sanotter

He400i or any suggestions?
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about the hd6xx but it seems to me that I probably won't notice that much of a difference between them and my k702's of current. I've looked at the dt1770 and am interested in the dt1990 coming out later next month, but I'm not sure how much they'll be...- Sanotter

He400i or any suggestions?
Hi, I've had the dt990s, k702s and alpha dog primes. Unfortunately, the primes's were too good, and although I sold them, even with the rubbish fiio e10 I have, I have a thirst for more. I'm not sure how to describe it, but there was just something so different and new about my music with the...- Sanotter

Amp to pair with alpha dogs.
Just bought a pair of alpha dogs (albeit used), and was wondering what kind of amp would be suitable (don't mind buying used), with a limit of roughly £200. I'd be using a fiio e10 while I wait, which I would assume will power it fine, just not to it's potential. Any recommendations would be...- Sanotter

Upgrading to alpha dogs?
So I currently have the k702's, which I love, however I'm looking to 'upgrade'. I have found a set of alpha dogs that are withing my price range, but was wondering if it would be worth the upgrade? I would also have to but an o2, since at the moment I'm running off of on board. Should I keep...- Sanotter

K702 amp (and maybe dac?) for £200.
Alright thanks! There's no point in me selling it if I won't notice the difference really. Is there any point is getting something better than an o2 or is it just pointless? Thanks,- Sanotter

K702 amp (and maybe dac?) for £200.
As you can see in my first post "So I've been using my fiio e10 for the past year or two with my k702 and finally want to upgrade.", I'm currently using an e10, which has a line out to bypass the amp. So I can just use this for the dac but I'm not sure if I'd notice a difference between this and...- Sanotter

K702 amp (and maybe dac?) for £200.
So I've been using my fiio e10 for the past year or two with my k702 and finally want to upgrade. Any suggestions for amps up to 200 GBP would be great. I'm not sure if the dac in my fiio is that good, so I'm not sure if to get an amp/dac (odac/o2 or magni modi), or if to just get a decent...- Sanotter

Finding information is hard. K702 vs HD600
I am sorry if this has been asked many times, but through an hour or two of searching I have found nothing conclusive. I had the DT990 pro's for 3 years before I broke them - don't ask how Now that I am buying new cans, I have a tossup. I have tried K701's with my set-up and they...- Sanotter

Girlfriend is looking for headphones
Quote: I would too reccommend these, but I have them and their build quality is abysmal. Not on the surface, but the cable connections and the cable itself all went within 4-6 months. Amazing sound, horrible build quality. Although some people don't have a problem? (Malveaux)- Sanotter
