beyerdynamic T5p: Photos and first impressions.
Some shops that sell instruments and studio equipment have a workshop that does repairs, make custom cables etc. A local shop may do it for you. A local shop made me a set of XLR crossed cables for connecting equipment using the two different XLR pin standards, typically to connect my STAX...- CDWMcInSpots

OPPO PM-2 Is Available - Post Your Impressions Here
OPPO headphones and headphone amplifiers are in shops already. I have seen and listened to OPPO HA-1 and PM-1 in mid June 2014 at Oslo Hi-Fi Center which has a rather good selection of headphones and headphone amplifiers. Translation of the advertisement text: The city's best...- CDWMcInSpots

The HeadAmp GS-X and GS-X MK2 Thread
I have had both good and not so good results with Sennheiser HD 800 and headphone amplifiers with output impedance <= 2 ohms, mostly solid state, but also a couple of/few tube amplifiers. See my self quote at the end. This may very well be related to what I observe as "engaging with...- CDWMcInSpots

I assume that's a comment to my post. You miss the mark. I wasn't tied in because I haven't followed the Sennheiser HD 800 impression thread. On the other hand I believe in cross linking and quoting so others don't have to search for the information you talk about. It's about...- CDWMcInSpots

I didn't intend to accuse you or anybody else of just reading one post. It was more of general remark, because we all, including purrin, may not give a comprehensive picture in every single post, and hence can be (partially) misunderstood. I don't know the Apogee Symphony I/O. I actually did a search when you posted the pictures to see what it was. On the other side according to several sources it has two independently controlled headphone outputs which is (very) rare. They are normally controlled together when there's two...- CDWMcInSpots

I suppose 1 year +/- 6 months is a good estimate that would cover most scenarios already experienced and forecasted for the GS-X mk2. (The BHSE is an other cup of tea I believe.) Among other things this depends on what you mean with "current" and "next". Just for historical context: The first batch of GS-X mk2 was delivered rather early (before Easter?) in 2013. I believe it comprised (around) 30 amplifiers. Most of the 2013 batch (double batch of approx. 56...- CDWMcInSpots

I belive someone recently wrote in this thread that the original cable has 4 conductors. Hence you can cut off the original 3.5 mm TRS and connect/solder on a 4-pin XLR instead. The original cable is rather light and thin for such a heavy conector. I assume that the user should be (a bit)...- CDWMcInSpots

These are two different volume controls. Alpha doesn't have steps which makes it possible to precisely choose your desired volume level. This may be the best choice if you use sensitive headphones, ie. IEMs and more, and/or listen at moderate loudness levels. DACT have a limited...- CDWMcInSpots
