CHORD ELECTRONICS DAVE
That sound great. What improvement could you recall when putting the Blu2 on a separate circuit and on your RSA Dimitri. i felt putting Blu2 on a separated circuit/isolation transformer and not mixing it with digital gear would yield further benefit I will experiment putting the Blu2 on a...- hieukm

Was this relaxed texture closer to MSB presentation that you have heard before? MSB sound signature is very relaxed and especially densed for MSB Select 2 model.- hieukm

So there is no difference in bass or clean treble when using DC4 for Mscaler? I guess thats the difference for the digital side. Can you define more about this "shift in soundstage" ? the sound stage got deeper, wider or more holographic? Hopefully it will emerge as the burn in settle.- hieukm

I think the Chord was KO because you have no pre amp. The MSB stack must have had the preamp and volume control built in option along with mono power base?- hieukm

Please let us know what improvement do you have when the 2nd DC4 arrive. I also had a DC4 powering my Dave and assessing situation for the 2nd one for Blu2/HMS. Just out of curiousity, which MSB DAC did you compare to? Was the Dave + HMS far off? Was the HMS powered by LPS?- hieukm

We can all agree that timbre and tonal is not Chord strong suits. What Chord Dave + Blu2 excells is separation, dynamic, depth, soundstaging and details. None of the impression mentioned keyword like timbre, tonal, image density, flow, timing which i believe DAC like MSB select 2, Aries Cerat...- hieukm

You must be kidding. My Chord Dave is immune to Source, power cable and USB cable. Its eliteness overshadow digital source relevance (according to a elite cable maker) Whats this non-sense that the top DAC need a separate PSU?- hieukm

From audiobacon.net External Power Supply Could be powered by an external power supply (9-15V). By far, my favorite new feature. The implication: You could use a portable battery or a custom LPS such as the Paul Hynes SR4. For those who realize the sonic gains of having a better power supply...- hieukm

Rob Watt has been aware of RFI problem for a long time so both output and input has been galvanic isolation, maybe external power are the solution Your statement already contradict it self. No i cant understand from the"enjoying the music" perspective then if the Blu2 is good now then Hugo M Scaler is not gonna change it. For headphone user the Dave and Hugo 2 TT probably not gonna make much of a difference as well as the USB galvanic isolation or Toslink input . For Hi-end...- hieukm

You probably have a very different perspective when buying hi-end equipment. I expect more when buying flagship electronics and somehow got outperformed by lower end equipment with cheaper price. Imagine hugo 2 TT has a better feature than Dave. It would be ridiculous to me.- hieukm
