Shopping in TJ Maxx the other day, I noticed they had the purple Citiscape Downtowns for $20. I bought the brown version for around $40 a few months back and have been pretty pleased with them, so $20 seems like a steal.- DorianMode

I don't think anyone has posted this yet: Hellomusic.com is has a few headphones on sale right now, including the KRK KNS-6400 for $75. I'm not sure how many they have in stock; they're already sold out of some other KRKs, some Shures, and some Sonys. I bought some TMA-1s from Hellomusic last...- DorianMode

NEW! Aiaiai TMA-1 Studio
If you want a headphone that's not too dark, I doubt the TMA-1s or Studios will be for you, but I wish you luck. For what it's worth, I have found that the mic cable that came with my Crossfade LPs works very nicely with the TMA-1.- DorianMode

Q701 impressions thread
Just got some lime green Q701s as an early Christmas present. I haven't had much time with them yet, but I'm pretty excited. Currently I'm driving them from my mom's Denon receiver, though unfortunately I'm hitting the road starting tomorrow and I'll probably only have an E6 to amp them. Anyway...- DorianMode

Headphones under $60
I've been enjoying the Philips Citiscape Downtowns, which are sitting at $50 on Amazon right now but seem pretty easy to find sub-$40 (I found mine at TJ-Maxx, of all places).- DorianMode

Ran into a kid using some white M50s in the physics building today. Also notice that the guy I'm working with an electronics project has some V-Moda in-ears.- DorianMode

AIAIAI Tracks headphones for $45: http://fab.com/sale/9355/product/21580/?hs=394 The price on these everywhere else seems to be at least $80. They also have some of the AIAIAI earbuds on offer, but I've heard mixed things about them. None of the TMAs, unfortunately.- DorianMode

Looking for headphones for a christmas present, got some criterias, need help
You might look into some V-Modas, though I'm not sure that they have great noise cancellation. Alternately, maybe the AIAIAI TMA-1 or the Senn HD 25-II?- DorianMode

Just saw a guy with some ATH-M50s as I was walking across campus to grab a drink. I had my new Citiscape Downtowns on, which I have been enjoying, but I don't think the guy noticed.- DorianMode

Just picked up some Philips Citiscape Downtowns at TJ Maxx. They had the brown ones for 34.99 and purple for 39.99. From what I've read that seems like a pretty good deal, so I'm excited to try them out.- DorianMode

Does anyone know how long this soundearphones deal will last? I'm really tempted to pick up some SR225is for $150, but payday is tomorrow and I want to discuss a bit with my girlfriend to make sure it doesn't cause an issue for our upcoming trip.- DorianMode

NEW! Aiaiai TMA-1 Studio
I really don't think the finish should be that much of a problem unless there was a manufacturing issue. Granted, I only owned the Studios for a few days, but I've had my regular TMA-1s since last December with no issues so far and I'm pretty sure the finish is the same.- DorianMode

The green Q701s seem to be a love them/hate them sort of style choice. I've been considering buying some 701s for months now, and if I do I"m definitely going green.- DorianMode

Q701 impressions thread
So since there are so many Q701 appreciators in here, I hope nobody minds if I'll ask for a little advice. I've recently been looking for a headphone to complement my (closed, very dark) AIAIAI TMA-1s. The Q701 looks like a really great option, but I'm worried about being able to properly...- DorianMode

Need Help Choosing Headphones
I think the AIAIAI TMA-1 fits all your requirements outside of a hard case, especially as a can for electronica/dubstep. Just note that they're on-ear rather than over-ear.- DorianMode
