Empire Ears X Effect Audio Giveaway // 2017 EMPIRE SPRING SALE
I nominate Cthulhu. A god of unparalleled reference and an instant icon in modern culture. You could create a simple icon to place on the IEM faceplate and everyone would instantly have reference for what is in your ear. Having just received my custom Cerberus and having incorporated it as a...- Steelbarrage

Thanks, I asked because I like the whiplash cables but I need an aftermarket cable for my HE-400 and would enjoy an aftermarket cable for my Cerberus when it arrives. Being cheap leads me to not want to collect cables.- Steelbarrage

Is there anyway to have a single aftermarket cable that you can use with both iems and headphones, say using a termination adapter after the splitter?- Steelbarrage

I visited a friend in KL a few months ago and toured around in both peninsular Malaysia and Borneo and found the exchange rate for USD laughable. I felt so bad for my friend because she wanted to come visit all our US friends but the exchange rate was so unfavorable. I was able to pick up...- Steelbarrage

Feel free to insert your favorite large mammalian reproductive organs instead. After the audiologist told me I have small ears, all I could see was the catastrophic damage others would have to go through to attempt to insert your IEMs. Stand proud, you can take far more than the average person.- Steelbarrage

I also would like the Zeus-XR ADEL with G1, but alas, my budget can barely justify the Cerberus let alone an on sale Spartan. In all reality I am held back by my source and shallow music catalog. That alone is a pleasant leash for the upgrade bug.- Steelbarrage

Not really an issue. I think the Spartan ADEL is out of my price range now. I just thought I might take a cheap shot at you considering all the great work you've been doing with the EE demo line- Steelbarrage

Has level of fully closed MAM isolation ever been determined? I'm curious because I would mainly be listening in a quiet environment so I wasn't sure if a closed MAM would cut it for air travel or if I should stick to just G1?- Steelbarrage

My budget is narrow with me looking at a Cerberus in the near future but I haven't ruled out a Supra with all of the encouraging comments other posters have made. I listen primarily to acoustic female vocalists with the occasional electronic music thrown in. I don't care to try and find a...- Steelbarrage

I'm surprised at the sub $100 price as well, maybe ASIUS has reduced manufacturing costs or both parties are trying to aggressively attract buyers. I was looking at a 64 Audio A3 but it always bothered me about the split and now I have another option with a Cerberus Adel. Hope I can put the...- Steelbarrage

**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**
Well it appears that my right channel is still connected as I get 0 resistance on it but other than that I doubt I will be able to do anything with the cable. Also I am poor so is the stock cable the best option or is another option that is a little bit sturdier with the same price point...- Steelbarrage

**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**
So I just had my right channel of my HE 400 cable die. I picked up a headphones to a quick buzzing noise and then my right channel cut out. Thought it was my driver until I flipped the L and R cable around to find the right driver still working. The right channel still seems to have a faint...- Steelbarrage

= Hifiman HE500 & HE400 Jergpad Mod v2.5 =
Quote: 1) Do you not remove the foam ring from between the earpiece and the attachment ring? 2) I was thinking it might be possible to fit the ring inside the existing fabric but since I haven't cut apart the fabric I really don't know how much give it has.- Steelbarrage

= Hifiman HE500 & HE400 Jergpad Mod v2.5 =
First I must ask Jerg, do you think the pad is thick enough after the mod? Now to the possibly stupid question part. What do you think of taking the memory foam out of a secondary pair of pleathers and adding it to the existing mod? Possibly get an extra bit of space between your ear and...- Steelbarrage
