New Beyerdynamic Pro X line: DT 700 Pro X and DT 900 Pro X
My HD25 has been struggling with the earphone connector thing for quite a while, so I after a little contemplation I picked up the 700 Pro X. Now I am not an audiophile or creator of any sort but overall sound quality-wise they feel like an upgrade over the HD25. I am pairing this with the...- madferit

V-MODA XS - V-MODA M-80s upgraded - Pictures and more! [Discussion, Questions] #FirstthreadtocoverXS
Another question, how well is the inline mic and remote protected from sweat? Only god knows how many IEM headsets I ruined by working out in them.- madferit

V-MODA XS - V-MODA M-80s upgraded - Pictures and more! [Discussion, Questions] #FirstthreadtocoverXS
I realize that this may have been asked a billion times, but the search doesn't really bring up anything explanatory. 1. Does the XS burn in? 2. I find them pretty uncomfortable after several minutes. Does this get better with time e.g. the pads get softer/memorize the relief of the ear. ...- madferit

Looking for a replacement for HD555
Thank you all for replies. I'm not sure what happened but I just went out and grabbed the V-MODA XS today. I was looking for over-ear open, but bought on-ear closed, I must have OCD. Still planning on buying an HD5x8 though, gonna wait till the black friday I suppose.- madferit

Looking for a replacement for HD555
Thanks kcazbarach. I'm considering cashing out extra 80$ to buy 598 instead of 558, just not sure if it's gonna be worth it. From what I've read, 598 are not necessarily an upgrade to 558, rather different.- madferit

Looking for a replacement for HD555
Unfortunately, there is absolutely no way I could get my hands on 595, plus I'm not too big on second hand stuff. I am not a basshead but I feel like my 555 could benefit from a bit more punch. I may or may not be a fan of Senn sound, I've never really heard decent HPs apart from my 555...- madferit

Looking for a replacement for HD555
bump. At this point I'm also considering Grado SR80e or 125e. I've read that they're good for rock, but since most of the music I listen doesn't really classify as guitar music (stuff like Vampire Weekend, Wild Beasts, War on Drugs, Tame Impala) and some hip hop occasionally (Kanye West...- madferit

Looking for a replacement for HD555
After doing some research I'm leaning towards the 558 due to the price, since there is minimal difference between the two and 558 is 80$ cheaper. I'm also gonna drop Beyer DT-990-Pro-250 into the equation, it falls within the 200$ range. Also, bit off topic here, but hey, this is my topic...- madferit

Audiophiles in Dubai?
Thanks, it's been a while since I used shop and ship. If I remember correctly when you use S&S you still have to pay NY sales tax (given that you're buying in America). If that's so, I'd rather buy from a UK store that ships directly to UAE without VAT.- madferit

Audiophiles in Dubai?
What's a good place to buy Sennheisers? Particularly interested in 558 or 598. And what is the usual price? I can't be assed to drag myself to a mall :D- madferit

Looking for a replacement for HD555
I've never tried the 558 or 598, and due to poor range of products at local stores I will be making the purchase blindly. I don't even think there's a store that has a display for anything other than Monster, Bose etc.- madferit

Looking for a replacement for HD555
So it seems like my 8 year old 555s are finally starting to give in. Since I'm very used to my 555s and haven't really used anything but them for the past 8 years I went right off into comparing 558s to 598s. I am not an audiophile, but my take on 555s has always been that they're a well balance...- madferit

More color, superb sound: Three new in-ear headphones from beyerdynamic - DTX 71 iE, DTX 101 iE and MMX 101 iE
not even 3 weeks passed since I had got my DTX 101. yesterday I went for my routine jog. then I noticed that left bud was sounding strange and quieter. I was really frustrated as it is my third pair of 100$ iems that didn't even make it to a couple of months. this morning they sounded perfectly...- madferit

Hi all, Been looking at these for a while. Would like to know if you can use them while lying in lateral position. Would it cause any discomfort or, perhaps, any damage? I need them to be very durable too, cause I'm gonna be using them while in bed. Also, the price on Amazon for...- madferit
