Hey all,    I have never been to a RHCP show, and I have the opportunity to see them in May. Does anyone want to share their experiences going to a RHCP show? More specifically, I'm curious as to their setlist. 

Oh god so many Beats and Bose on campus. 

I pretty much had my mind made up about the NFB-12, but I've see a few raving reviews on the new Audioengine D1. At this point, I'm concerned with mostly the DAC sections of these components. Does anyone have both and care to compare them?     

Has anyone done any comparison between the NFB-12 and the Audioengine D1?

Your laptop is the problem. The "IDT" audio is also on my HP, and it sounds horrible. Get a decent DAC, or listen out of even an ipod, and you'll see the sound quality increase dramatically.    EDIT: and let me define what horrible means. Even through my iBuds, my ipod sounds significantly...

Just shipped mine off back to Amazon.   To those who get the February revision, please let us know if the jack problems have been fixed.

I think of Bose like I think of Apple. They can be decent yes, but you could get the same or better performance at a far lower price point. Apple products tend to be aesthetically pleasing, solidly built, but would I buy a Macbook pro with my own money when I can get the same specs on a windows...

I'd say my only niggle about the V6s, and one of the things that led me to choose the M50s over them is the exposed connecting wires. 

Sure, if you have the means to buy many headsets and use the Bose for portable only I don't see why not. But when performance to price ratio is concerned, Bose doesn't even compete. I personally think that they're not exceptionally comfortable, having had a few hours with a QuietComfort 15. 

I've seen people say around here that M50s clamp. I feel like the clamping force is not exceptionally high, about average. And I find them really comfortable, I've had them on for up to 4 hours at a time, easily. YMMV.

That's the price I got my M50s for, and I love them.    That said, I'm not sure that even these will isolate enough on the train. You may want to consider a pair of IEMs for the train instead.
