Own LCD-X, considering aeolus and Arya

Very late in getting back but having lived with both for several months, they are fantastic compliments to each other. The LCD is thicker and feels like it has more weight behind it while the Arya feels light and airy, moving effortlessly and incredibly clear and detailed. Both have superb sound...

DT1990 How to change the pads?

You need something to pry the retainer off the housing. It simply pops off. Once you get 1 out the rest of the tabs come easier. Put the new pads on the retainer before reinstalling. Once you have done it once, it takes 30 seconds.

IEMs for electronic and bass heavy music

Update for any future readers looking for similar things:   Picked up a pair of JVC FX700 and got an open box set of westone 4r. Picked up an O2 amp while I was at it because I always wanted to try one out and also wanted to be using the LOD of my ipod while I was comparing.   FX700-...

IEMs for electronic and bass heavy music

Alright, plan going forward is to get a pair of JVC-FX700 as they are largely reviewed as the iem equivalent of my D7000's. To compare with it I will also get a pair of either the W4's or the PFE 232 (maybe something else, still deciding) and I will decide what I want to keep.   Not that...

IEMs for electronic and bass heavy music

Ok, I could use some more insight here. New phones on my radar - UE 900, PFE 232. Westone 4 or 4r are looking good as well as from what I read they will do a better job with instrument separation, sound stage and refinement in the mids, sacrificing some bass quantity while improving the quality...

IEMs for electronic and bass heavy music

The SE535 has been on my radar before, everything I have read has been that that was a mid focused iem and might be lacking in the bass department, but I am not sure. How does the low end compare from westone 3 to 4, is it a big or little step down?   I did like the low end on the 3's but...

IEMs for electronic and bass heavy music

Been quite a while since I have been on the site. I have my dream setup for over ears and amp and have been very happy with my portable rig (Ipod 5 running rockbox and westone 3's) until the time I decide to try out some customs. That was until my portable rig was stolen ...   At this point...

I done lots of reading here and I think im set on 4 headphones.

Hate to throw a wrench into things but have you considered going for in ear monitors for portable needs? With good fitting ear tips you will get incredible isolation. If you are patient and keep up with the for sale forums and Ebay you could get a used pair of D5000's for home use and a pair of...

That coupon code actually did just work for me, it is good for 20% off the mp3 price so if you go for lossless then you still get $0.29 off

Quote: Yes, it definitely does does have an effect as I described earlier. If the engine requires 91 and you run lower then it will run non optimal tuning settings in order to protect the engine. And when that is the case you are relying on a knock sensor, which monitors pressure spikes in...
