So your headphone is 1500 dollars, and your amp is around 1000. I don't think you should stoop down to 700 for your DAC, unless you go for used ones.

Fiio E9 for DT990? I really think your DT990 deserves better... I think by getting a headphone amp cheaper than your headphone you are not fully exploiting its potential at all.

I think it is working, since when I remove SOX upsampling from the list of DSP and then play the same track there is a brief (500ms) pause. There is a slight difference in the sound, but I do need to listen longer to tell the difference.   Quote:
