I agree wiith kauljp these 400i's are awesome. Depth, transients and Clarity are awesome. Highs are great not harsh at all plus layers and textures are revealed. They do like power to drive them.

Hi, I have the A900X and most people rate it better than the 700. I would recommend if you want to have a closed headphone to check out the new ATH-A900Z or ATH-A990Z as it looks like from some buyer's reviews that they made some improvements. If you want a open headphone it is hard to go wrong...

Not sure what you mean. The Sennheisers have all replaceable parts so 5 years from now they will still have parts even if they come out with a new model that replaces them.
