HD Tracks is so bad.
I can't say about Van Halen and The Who, but I can say that Green Day, Jethro Tull and Paul Mccartney are very good. Well worth getting. Forget AAC. You'll never get even close to how good they are with AAC. Another good set or recordings is from Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Just so good. Tom... -

Why would FIIO put in a USB-C port? That would make it incompatible with the K5.- JWolf

Happy to help. It's really really good. The CD version is good, but the SACD version just has something that makes it pop. -

FiiO X3MKIII || Dual TI PCM5242 || Dual-mode Bluetooth 4.1 || Dual headphone outputs || Balanced Out || 192kHz/32bit
Replaygain is important when listening to random tracks in the car. So please add it right away. It should have been there from day one. I was thinking of upgrading to the X3III, but without replaygain, forget it. Not a hope in hell.- JWolf

Best audiophile metal and rock albums
Another really good recording is Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds. That is just one really good blend of music, rock, and science fiction. Well worth listening to. -
Songs that make your headphone WOOOOOW!!!
No it's not for Youtube videos. It's for talking about songs that sound really good when listening with headphones. Posting videos in such quantities slows things down considerably. Instead of posting the videos, just post the links. That would solve the problem. -
Songs that make your headphone WOOOOOW!!!
STOP WITH THE FRIGGING YOUTUBE VIDEOS. THEY SLOW DOWN THIS THREAD CONSIDERABLY AND WHEN VIEWING ON A SMARTPHONE, MAKE IT UNUSABLE. -

Why 24 bit audio and anything over 48k is not only worthless, but bad for music.
The thing is, the spec should have been 20-bits/48kHz and then we may not be arguing about this.- JWolf

Why 24 bit audio and anything over 48k is not only worthless, but bad for music.
But how do you know you don't hear increased resolution? And while you may not hear the extended frequencies, the idea is for the frequencies you do hear to sound better.- JWolf

Why 24 bit audio and anything over 48k is not only worthless, but bad for music.
The thing is, if there are going to be issues by hitting boundaries, then having a spec that goes past those boundaries you don't have those issues. Also, in some 24/96 recordings, you do see the sound does go past 20kHz. Plus, with 24-bit, you have more bits to give more resolution. With...- JWolf
