Vsonic VSD2 / VSD2S and AN16 Impressions Thread
Haven't had much time in the last day or so to do some comparisons...but FWIW the Havi B3's are much clearer than these AN16's. That's not to say the AN16's are muddy, and instead i'd say that they have their own sound signature that is...warmer I guess. If I were to describe its sound...- twiztedjoker

Vsonic VSD2 / VSD2S and AN16 Impressions Thread
I don't like the flat bottom half of the Havi's, but otherwise I'd agree that the build is good for that price point. I'll let it grow on me haha. As for the AN16, I can try to do some A/B's for you at a later time. Going to bed and burning in the VSD2S. I literally just opened the AN16's to...- twiztedjoker

Vsonic VSD2 / VSD2S and AN16 Impressions Thread
Oh yes, the fit and comfort is great for me, similar to the Shure 215/315 etc series. Forgot to mention that build quality is pretty damn good. the terminated jack end looks and feels pretty solid. The cables are have a smooth, rubber (not the friction-y type) and matte-like texture which...- twiztedjoker

Vsonic VSD2 / VSD2S and AN16 Impressions Thread
I just got my VSD2S, so in case people are wondering how it sounds out of the box, I'd say it's not too great. Let's bear in mind they haven't been burned in so I won't jump to conclusions. For some background, i've been using a pair of ATH-MSR7's and Havi B3 Pro I's. For starters, these are...- twiztedjoker

Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7 Discussion Thread
I share the same sentiments - a little treble roll of would be great for me too. It's a pity because aside from this, I am seriously digging these can. At twister6's recommendation i've decided to go for a Schitt Fulla. I'm hoping for a bit more soundstage and warmth. Nice Dessert Analogy dude.- twiztedjoker

Rockit Sounds R-50 Reviews and Impressions
Quote: Yeah I think i'd at least do that when I get them. From what I gather in this thread, they retain the clarity of the B2's with a warmer touch. I'm assuming the highs and treble will be rolled off a bit to be smoother. I'm curious though, has anyone tried to fit the...- twiztedjoker

I think he meant the Brainwavz Beta, in which case it's hard to compare since one driven by a dynamic driver while the B2's are dual BA's.- twiztedjoker

The Shure Olives fit...but they expand when you put them on the DBA 02's/Brainwavz B2. They won't fit on your other earphones no moar ):- twiztedjoker

Bravo Audio - funny looking little tube amps
I was looking to buy one of these for fun the other day, so if it's possible can someone comment on how the bravo v2 tube amp will measure up against these: http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260795094655&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 or these...- twiztedjoker

Fiio E7/E9 with desktop 2.1's? (Swans m50w)
I can't just usb the E7 > output source? Which might benefit the 2.1's which are arriving? I'm using a cheap set of creative 2.1's(T3130), so it's possible that this is the reason I do not hear any significant differences with the E7/E9.- twiztedjoker

Fiio E7/E9 with desktop 2.1's? (Swans m50w)
Hi, thanks for replying. I see what you're driving at, but then doesn't the E7 already fulfil the DAC component, and hence won't I not necessarily need the E9? I use my macbook for music, mainly, and when I plugin the E7/E9 into it I always set it to use the DAC as the output device. Is that...- twiztedjoker

Fiio E7/E9 with desktop 2.1's? (Swans m50w)
Hi guys, I got my E7/E9 combo in the mail today...Out of the box I gotta admit I'm not TOO impressed...The E7 works well with my brainwavz B2 but The E9 doesn't seem to affect much. However, this is also because I do not own any high impedance headphones so I have nothing to go by. The thing...- twiztedjoker

Perhaps you're right, but I don't like turning the treble down as I find it starting to sound a bit hollow. Also you hit the nail - They are not sufficient for genres like trance and dubstep, and some genres of rock - at least that's how I feel. But yes, I do find the bass quantity sufficient on...- twiztedjoker

Heh, I would agree with you if we are dealing strictly with BA based iem's, but I still find the B2's lacking in the bass department...Maybe i'm just still getting used to it.- twiztedjoker

Shoved them in pretty damn deep. Think i'm still getting used to the IEM's fit though... Also you gotta understand I'm coming from a Dynamic Driver with some serious bass behind it ;)- twiztedjoker

It depends on your preference. I take awhile to adjust between bass heavy cans and more clarity/moniter cans. I've EQ'ed my SR850's to deal a good deal more bass and hence it sounds really warm and controlled while still retaining a level of clarity and therefore, IMO blows these out of the...- twiztedjoker

Just got my pair today... gotta admit the highs seem a bit piercing outta the box but its been like 6 hours of burn-in and they *appear* to have tamed. The clarity and speed on these things are nothing short of amazing. I tried a/b'ing them with my Atrios which I've been using but they're really...- twiztedjoker
