Entry-Level Component CD Player/Tuner in One?
I am using a Denon RCD 100, it is a CD player with a build in receiver. Comes with a remote which is what I like. Just add speakers and you have good audio coming out of it. Drives my HD600 very well too. This could be what you are after, was under $400.- Lizard_1

Sennheiser MX500 Earbud with the iPod

Sennheiser MX500 Earbud with the iPod
Quote: Originally posted by joelongwood I have heard this combo, Lizard.........and to my ears, the sound is pretty thin. The volume has to be past 3/4 on the bar to provide any decent volume. I ripped my mp3 at vbr 192 kbps, which on most passages hit 320 kbps. And at 93 db, they...- Lizard_1

I'm stupid... (another HD600 thread)
You can remove the cushion from the earcups, and flatten them by putting it under a pile of phone books for a period of time, couple with fully extending the headband and keeping it apart. That reduces the tension. I did not have to do that with to my HD580.- Lizard_1
