Official JVC HA-FW1500
I tried stock cable and Sony IEM cable with Audio-gd NFB 12.1, and straight from my iPhone 12 Pro with lossless files. Both seemed pretty bass light. Especially when compared to the FW01. EDIT: Found this cable on Amazon and really dig it. the MMCX connections are low profile and secure, and...- anoxy

JVC HA-FW01 - The New Top End Wood Driver IEM (2017)
My 1100 are on their last leg, one of the mesh vents broke somehow. So I’m currently A/Bing the FW01 and FW1800. I’m preferring the FW01 so far, it feels a bit more in your head, deeper low end, but slightly more veiled in the upper frequencies. They really slam on Evelyn Kings “I’m in Love”...- anoxy

JVC HA-FW01 - The New Top End Wood Driver IEM (2017)
oBravo Cupid...hmm. What's the catch? They're reasonably priced as far as good IEMs go. You like them more than the Fw01? I'm also considering jumping back into custom monitors with something like the Spiral Ears 3-way or Custom Art Fibae 4. But I've been out of this scene so long there are so...- anoxy

Haven't been here in a long time. But I just broke out my FX1100 and have been loving them again. USB DAC for iPhone/Carplay?
I have a car with Carplay, and I was thinking I could improve the sound quality by plugging some sort of DAC/Amp into the car's USB port, and then plugging my iPhone into the usb port of the DAC/Amp. Do you think this would work? Any recommendations if so?- anoxy

I saw they released the LCD2C reveal profile.....and man it sounds bad. Seems like they really tried to flatten it out with this.- anoxy

It means you won’t hear sound from any other application on your computer while JRiver is open. JR has exclusive acceee to your audio output.- anoxy

If JRiver is set to exclusive mode, you control volume with the knob on your amp. If not set to exclusive mode, change it.- anoxy

Agreed. Comfort is fantastic on the 2C and I don’t find the weight to be an issue at all, but some of y’all have pencil necks so of course comfort varies. :D- anoxy

Yeah it is definitely dependent on the recording, and such is life. Darker recording are just further darkened by these headphones and make them sound pretty lifeless, but I tend to avoid bad recordings, even if I like the music.- anoxy

Not good for jazz or vocals? You’re crazy. Also, headphones aren’t meant to be stage monitors. They aren’t supposed to mimic that experience.- anoxy

I truly believe in synergy between source and headphone. It's not only a matter of having enough power...perhaps pinch those pennies for a little longer so you can get yourself something capable and complimentary. But what exactly were you expecting out of these headphones?- anoxy

Literally no hint of sibilance in the 2C. Can we stop with that BS here. Something else in your chain was probably not up to par or you didn't allow your ears enough time to adjust.- anoxy
