    The DX90 by iBasso . . . Sound impressions . . . . . . . New Firmware, 2.5.1 . . .

Quote: dx90 is excellent when pairing with earphone that requires less energy. it is more musical and euphonic. its more comfortable to listen to dx90 for a long duration  dx100 gives more details and has deeper bass. To me, dx100 is better when paired with CMs as it gives a better...

REVIEW: Lear LCM-2B dual driver custom IEMs - a new custom company out of Hong Kong

Quote: I'm afraid I cant agree on that ,xymordos. When I was testing LCMs, none of the them (except 1F?) gives me a "balanced"/ "flat" sound signature. LCMs dont sound average to me....Even for the part they focus on (bass/ clear/ flat), they cannot match their own introduction.

REVIEW: Lear LCM-2B dual driver custom IEMs - a new custom company out of Hong Kong

Quote:   um...you got my word, thanks! for the B version I've tried, I think it is kinda muddy and  "inelastic", thats why i said its way too bassy. iem like 11pro also stresses on its bass, but we dont find the same issue with it. If someone like headphones produced by beats, may be...

REVIEW: Lear LCM-2B dual driver custom IEMs - a new custom company out of Hong Kong

I have to admit the look and build quality of lear cms are really nice. much better than my cm, i mean the choice of colour and the finishing of the shell. however, I think sound quality is also an important factor when choosing a suitable cm for ourselves Ive similar feeling with u on xba4. I...

Quote: Hi! Another guest from HK (please do not try to google translate the following passage, it cannot be done since its written in cantonese) 我就用中文同你講. 小弟對11pro共造左3千幾, 我橫睇掂睇都within price range, 真係非常之抱歉! demos often fail in sound quality? 我就用我聽朋友對11pro demo時候既聲黎講, 點都仲係嬴, 如果真係差咁遠...

REVIEW: Lear LCM-2B dual driver custom IEMs - a new custom company out of Hong Kong

I understand that tf10 is not a really good standard. I also take copper (a well balanced iem) and my cm 11pro (tf10+1 unit upgrade by thousand sound in mainland) as my standard. the feeling about lear cms is not only my own opinion, that is also aggreed by most of my head-fi friends in HK. So...

Quote: OMG , the owner of Lear is like a dictator! he rekon that im here talking bout his product here and he said"我還要多謝提點,因為jackjack2011已去了head-fi 打倒我地既產品" which is in english : I have to be thankful for a reminder, coz jackjack2011 's gone to head-fi and taunt our product" I am just...

REVIEW: Lear LCM-2B dual driver custom IEMs - a new custom company out of Hong Kong

and FYI, If we are really looking for a good cm with that price range, Some other cm producers in Mainland are usually our choice in HK. Its quite common for us to "upgrade" our universal earphones by adding extra units and re-shelling in mainland. they have some brand new cm, too

REVIEW: Lear LCM-2B dual driver custom IEMs - a new custom company out of Hong Kong

Quote:   Im quite sure u know they are divided into C(clear), B(base) and  F(flat) As a tf10pro addict, "clear" to me is not clear and "bass" is just too bassy. Most of my head-fi friends do agree with me on that. And overall, those CMs are not clear enough (just like westone's)...

REVIEW: Lear LCM-2B dual driver custom IEMs - a new custom company out of Hong Kong

Hi, Im from HK and I've heard all 9 of them. If possible, u should really try them out b4 u make a purchase. Build qualities are really great. but for the sound, to me, they do not really worth that much, getting a pair of ue / jh could be a better choice

Quote: I admit I do not own em atm. if you think the problem is with  "way better", I apologize.  but i did compare them with the same source, equipment and files. after all, it is just MY opinion, I love the sound sig of SM3 more than JH5. IMO, it is not worth it to upgrade to JH5. ...
