Wow that is interesting ive been using mine with a FiiO LOD from my iphone 4S and the paper rustling sound is not as pronounced.  It's definitely not distortion either becuase when I put my ear really close to it I can hear like a whoosh of air up inside the cone it's definitely something to do...

Ok before reading this thread I was in the FiiO E11 camp but now I'm thinking this Zo version 2 revision 3 might be the answer if I order now will I get the revision 3 of the Zo 2 or will there be a revision 4 when I get the revision 3 of the Zo version 2 is that right?

Hey I have these speakers also (A2) and I get the same thing no matter how low the volume is I still get that paper rustling noise on low frequency tracks or music.  It doesn't sound like distortion but I'm just wondering will this change with break in, I've heard so many people having this...

I'm using a set of JVC HA M750 with low impedance of about 32 oHMs and it's on low gain and I'm getting plenty of volume.  I guess these headphones are pretty damn easy to drive but they sound pretty impressive for a cheap 'can' - the FiiO E10 has really helped them especially in the bass...

I set it to 100 % on my computer but to be honest I didn't notice any difference from having volume at 25% and at number 4 on the DAC but I will leave it at your suggested setting and leave the FiiO E10 at the notch between 1 and 2.

The bass extension is pretty impressive on the FiiO E10, how the hell is FiiO selling this thing so cheap I honestly don't think anything could touch the E10 at this price range or double for that matter :D

Ok peeps it's all good I ordered the FiiO E10 instead, I ve got it and I love it!  With my JVC HA M750 my head is getting a good pounding with the bass boost on am really happy :D.  It's also really good with the V-Moda Remix and Monster Turbine - sweet!

Ok cheers for the help will try that.  I've often found that when a product ie headphone, amp or whatever is trashed on headfi I end up liking it maybe I have a terrible sense of sound - Most headphones and IEMs I like get terrible reviews on headfi LOL
