Thanks for the help! I am talking about the whole thing and nope, I have no pre-amp at all, at this point. Is there a cheap pre-amp/equipment that you recommend me to buy temporarily to just get it running? I honestly don't mind temparorily owning a piece of poop for now.   Appreciate your help!

Hello all. I'm new here, and would like to get into vinyls.   I currently own Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones and a Fiio E5 amp.   What would be a decent record player for < $400?  I did some research and found that I could either get the Pro-ject Essential or Genie for around that...
