Comparing the above CX500 to this diagram of the SE215s, I don't think a mod is possible to make the Shure foam sleeves work with the Sennheiser design.- theglaze

Thanks for the quick replies. Are there foam sleeve options for my CX500? Browsing through Sennheiser.com doesn't reveal much, I may have to place a call with their parts and repair department. Can anyone compare the passive isolation of these IEMs to ear plugs with a similar rating (~26dB)? I ride a motorcycle with plugs rated at 32dB reduction, and my Sennheiser CX500s just don't offer anything close to that.
