The Astell & Kern AK120
I know what you mean about the AK120. Although it is pricey new, the Altmann Tera player sounds even better, some say much more warm and airy....I say more real, than the AK120. You might find one used if you search. It is also very small and easy to keep in a pocket.- burtomr

Ahh...no, not a screwdriver. The 2 screws on the bottom are actually very small Allen Head screws (6 sided hex). To remove the back a small suction cup will help. Best done by somebody who is familiar with opening similar devices like Samsung phones which also have adhesively attached back panels.- burtomr

"Now I am looking to stock more bigger ear pads, spares, etc" Levi, Ron Kerlin has earpads and cables, etc., for Koss earphones. Yes he is in the US but maybe the shipping is not too much or he can tell you where to get them yourself.- burtomr

Q: My Tera won't play Micro SD cards in an SD adapter. Is that typical? If so why does it make a difference...the cards are SanDisk Ultra's same as my SD size cards?- burtomr

Is the charger (and/or the cable) the same one you have used before? Not all chargers or cables work the same. If your 380 still turns on, plug in the charger and see if the battery icon changes to the lightning bolt symbol (or whatever it is). Then you will know the charger is legit, and the...- burtomr

Do you know that SanDisk Ultra cards have a 10 Year warranty? You should get it replaced by SanDisk and save yourself some money. I have had a SanDisk Ultra go bad on me and SanDisk replaced it with no problems. Ref: https://www.sandisk.com/about/legal/warranty/warranty-table- burtomr

1.) Check that wallwart (charger) is actually working providing electrical output to another device (not your 380). 2.) Make sure you use the AK USB cord, other USB cords may not work. 3.) Check USB cord connectors by connecting your 380 to your computer - does it read the internal data? If not...- burtomr
