Today i got my cable from Frank. IE80 OCC Pure 7N Stranded Silver to say it is a fine cable would be a understatement. it is a HUGE improvement over the stoch cable. i'm a happy camper despite the ( for me anyways ) long wait of 10 weeks frank : thanks.

running my ie80 on low gain. My philips X1 on high gain. the AKG sound terrible on both hi and low.

As Frank said a couple of times i can expect my cable within a few days from now. It , the IE80 Cable , was delayed a couple of times but should be shipped as we speak. Finally :D keep you all posted on my first thoughts :)

i recieved my X LME49860 yesterday , after paying like 150 US import duties. Man that sucks big time. anyway , my first impressions are ( compared to the Note II itself) : power: much more , the IE80 are much more controlled. soundstage: slightly wider en more at the front. So a nice gain...

i don't think there is a audiophile tab ( yet). or we must have a different opinion on what audiophile stands for.   that said i checked out that voodoo thing and it sound promising. now we need async usb output to a nice portable DAC and AMP.

well that is a good thing.   got an mail back from Jack. he told me that it is very unlikely that the brighter glowing of 1 driver tube has someting to do with a higher current flowing trough.   So all in all i'm very happy with my amp.
