    Amp for Shure SRH-940?

I'm currently selecting an amp to go with my Shure SRH-940. The options that I've been considering are:   1) Digizoid ZO2.3: I like the small size of this thing, and the bass boost would be nice to use every once in a while. However, I am mostly happy with the bass amount in the SRH-940, and...

Has any of you tried the DJ mixer/player Pacemaker 120 GB yet? I need to know about its SQ.

I've got the 60GB version. It's sound quality is pretty good, but to be honest I wouldn't use it only for listening to music. If you're interested in interacting with your music a bit more, I recommend it.

The Beyerdynamic Tesla DT 1350 Impressions thread

I just picked my pair up! Unfortunately, I will be out of town this weekend, so I won't get to do any listening with these until next week :(

The Beyerdynamic Tesla DT 1350 Impressions thread

Yeah, I heard about the sweetspot with these phones. I'll probably post some impressions, but I can't compare to my old headphones since I always sell them to fund new stuff :P

    NWZ-S755 alternatives?

You might want to consider the Sony Walkman NWZ-E355. Very similar to NWZ-S755 except:   - Mini/Micro USB (can't remember which) instead of proprietary dock - No noise cancellation feature - Plastic construction instead of metal - Cheaper price   Other than that, the Walkman SQ and...

Sony MDR-EX300 vs. Sony MDR-XB40EX vs. NuForce NE-700X

I wouldn't go for the Klipsch S4, as there are better options for lower or equal price. I recently gifted some Nuforce NE-700x to my friend after trying them out at the store, and while a store trial is hardly enough to make conclusive opinions on a product, I think you may enjoy them as much as...

Last nov I came to you guys for my IEM's and.....

Well, no, an amp doesn't automatically make things sound better. There's some guides floating around the internet that will give more thorough run down of the pros/cons of an amp, but the most obvious pro is that it provides extra power for hard to drive headphones. If I recall correctly, RE0...

Order Fiio E7 and E9 in Canada?

Quote: www.headphonebar.com   Awesome store based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I'm not affiliated with the store, but I still make it a point to advertise for it due to good personal experiences.

You could import a John's Phone...but that may be too far in the opposite direction for your taste.

    sennheiser hd25 for sport

Hmm...the Sennheiser HD25-1 II does clamp with some good force initially, but I find it does loosen up a couple hours in, and I've never attempted anything physically intense while wearing them. Then again, they are super rugged, with the steel cable and all that, and worst comes to worst all...

    Shipment of E11 ( updated May, 24 )

I actually don't really watch hockey. I was just using that expression in an attempt to get across how randomly excited I am for this amp (because really, if the average Canadian is more excited for something than hockey, it must be REALLY GOOD...or over hyped).   Quote:

HD25-1 ii / Adidas vs TMA-1 vs others?

It's mentioned in the skratchworx review I posted, but basically, the matte finish wears off and becomes shiny really easily, so unless your okay with certain parts (i.e. headband) being shinier than other parts, then you might want to stay away from the AiAiAi. Again, I haven't heard them...

HD25-1 ii / Adidas vs TMA-1 vs others?

I myself prefer on-ears over in-ears as well, so I understand that sentiment.   Now, of the two, I've only owned the HD25-1 II, and briefly heard the TMA-1 in a store, so I can't really say if one is better than the other. That said, I listen to Hip-Hop/Electronic/Funk/Soul/Jazz, so my...

Looking for New PMP with Sleek UI

I have owned a Zune HD before, and if UI is important to you, I wholeheartedly recommend it. The original Zunes already had pretty nice UI in my eyes, but the Zune HD is a whole other level above. Of course, you do have to make some sacrifices with a Zune HD such as no FLAC support and less...

    I need a good MP3/4 player

Quote: I haven't heard a HiFiMan player before, might listen to a friends sometime soon. Personally, when it comes to portable gear, I prioritize other things (e.g. battery life) over sound quality, as most portable gear is used in casual situations where you have to interrupt your...

    Help a newbie out, please?

I second the Clip+ or Fuze as suggested by DaBomb77766. The Wi-Fi on the Sony X isn't exactly a selling point, so if you want high Wi-Fi functionality, don't get the Walkman X. As for your new comparison regarding non-WiFi players, specifically Cowon J3 and HiFiMan HM-601, I haven't heard those...
