The 1988 CD of Joy Division's Closer is phenomenal - not only artitistically (obviously). Sound quality-wise, it's the best version of that album I've heard, on any format.

What is the best quality CD release of Iron Maiden's Piece of Mind, in terms of audio clarity and dynamic range?

The Japan SACD of Black Sabbath's Paranoid is sublime. You can find an SACD rip of it - I recommend DSD playback for optimal sound quality, though purchasing a physical copy may break the bank, since it's a limited edition.
