yeah, thats what i had it set at, but there was minor disortion in the music overall (could not pinpoint what it was) but im assuming it is just from not burning in my headphones

I would prefer someone else putting the cable on, but i would like a cable like the beats by dre cable, and just about 4 feet long. Let me know also, when i say the beats by dre cable, i do not mean replaceable, i just mean texture wise, size wise, and girth wise.

ok, so i bought the m50's with a coiled cable, and when i look at it on the video it makes me want to get a new cable (just like the beats cable). Im kinda new to headphones so if anyone could explain how to modify the cable myself or have somebody do it for me (preferable) let me know. 5 feet...

I will most likely buy the m50's and idk if they need an amp or not but I kind of want to learn about amp. Do they always have to be plugged into the headphones? Also, do they really help that much and lastly are they worth the money (not sure of their price). Thanks, im new to this stuff.

reading reviews on the hfi-580, a few said they were uncomfortable when wearing them for a long time. Will the m50's do the same, because if i want to wear them on a 7 hour plane ride, i do not want to have to take them off like halfway. btw: my ears are 2.25-2.6, probably on the bigger side...

do i need to do an eq with the m50's? and if i get the xb500, do i need alot of eq?   edit: ehh nvm, after reading some reviews the xb500 seem quite bad besides the bass (i love the ear cushions) so anything vs. the m50's i guess
