    Need gaming/movie headphones

I heard the build quality on the Denon was pretty sub-par. I'd want to get something that'll last for years. How would you say the build quality is, though?

    Need gaming/movie headphones

How big is the difference between the 750 and 900? The 900 is awfully expensive... But if there's a large difference I can wait until I have some more cash available.

    Need gaming/movie headphones

Looked up the Sony MDR-F1, they look nice, but they're open. I'm looking for something to isolate, at least somewhat, from outside noises. So I'd like semi-open at least, though closed would be ideal. And are you sure the A700 isn't circumaural? Circumaural fits around the ears, not on...

    Need gaming/movie headphones

I'm looking to buy some really comfortable headphones that will block out the sound from the TV in here that is on more often than not. Not really into music, if I listen to any it's typically just as background noise, I rarely listen intently. Looking for:Cost of $300 or less Closed...

    Closed Headphones for around $150

While I haven't heard the ATH-Ax00 series, I own an ATH-ES7 and can definitely recommend it. It's right around your price range, has decent isolation, and has a good amount of bass. You might also look into the AKG K81DJ. I haven't heard it myself, but I see it recommended around here a lot.

    Which headphones?

Don't worry too much, I'm still a noob myself. I'm also interested in hearing more experienced people's opinion on the ES7, so be sure to let me know what they thought of it when you get back. I can't go in-depth as I'm not very experienced but here are some updated impressions: The...

    Which headphones?

Well, I just received my ES7s. Initial impressions: WOW, even the box is sexy! Good detail, amazing bass, great volume (Extremely easy to drive, even from my laptop), I had to turn my volume way down from what I was using with the DCL3000 and the generic headphones. They seal better than...

    Which headphones?

Thank you, Milhouse6, I appreciate the comparison. I think I've pretty much settled on the ES7s... It will probably be a few weeks still before I can order them, however. I'll try to post some impressions once I get them, I have some DCL3000s to compare them to.

    Which headphones?

I will be ordering from Bluetin.com as I've heard good things about them (Even though I dislike the use of that order form...), plus the ES7s are almost $30 cheaper there than Audiocubes.. I will of course be careful with the headphones whether I get the A900s or the ES7s, but accidents...

    Which headphones?

Wow, I apologize for my absence, received my laptop and have been messing around with it. I must say that the audio on this laptop (ASUS W3J) is extremely clear, much clearer than the older HP laptop I had, and at the very least it's on par with the Audigy 4 (Waste of money, I know...now) I...

    Which headphones?

Well, I've heard mixed opiniions on the TBAA...On the other hand, I haven't heard much at all about the Transit. I can't get the Indigo, my laptop will not have a PCMCIA slot, only an ExpressCard slot. I'm thinking I'd rather get some good headphones that I'll be able to use over a few...

    Which headphones?

Well, after sleeping on it, I think I probably should get an M-Audio Transit or Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro along with some cheaper headphones...Definitely not going to be able to get the A900s along with the Transit. How does the A700 sound compared to the HD485?

    Which headphones?

Hmm, I've been using an older laptop with integrated sound, with cheap headphones that came with a portable DVD player and I find it acceptable, I'm not too picky, really... Though I would like something that sounds better. Maybe I'll go ahead and get some cheaper headphones and see if the...

    Which headphones?

I'll be listening to Rock, some metal, and may do some gaming (laptop has an X1600). I was under the impression that newer integrated audio solutions were decent. The laptop will have Intel HD Audio, will a USB solution really make a notable difference?

    Which headphones?

I'm ready to order some headphones for use with a notebook I am getting later this week, but I'm not sure what to get. I'm looking at the Audio-Technica A700, A900, or ES7. I'm not too worried about portability as I'll mostly just be using the notebook around the house (I just don't want to...
