I've been using Gumby/MJ2 for the last year and it didn't make much difference whether you use RCA or XLR. The DNA Stellaris is a $6,700 highly respected Amp that doesn't even offer a XLR input except as an option. RCA is fine.

I'm an Ether Flow owner who hasn't heard the AEONs but Tyll isn't the only one who prefers the AEONs. I can listen to my EFlows all day though and not be fatigued by them. YMMV.

    If someone's not familiar with the need to let the DAC warm up for a couple days then they may be initially disappointed with the Gumby. That was my experience.

I got my new E Flows for $2,500 Canadian exactly through a distributor and with full warranty. The Z1R's would have been another $900 after tax, the HeK2's another $1900 and the Utopias another $3,150 barring any discounts. I didn't consider Audeze on account of the reputation for poor comfort...

Maybe give Beyer T5p2's a listen if you have the chance. I'm don't have any complaints with them as portables.

My Desktop is a Gumby/Mjo2/EtherFlows. My DP-X1 and T5p2s as my portable don't give up That much. I'd imagine the Mojo might even be overkill and an Oppo HA2 would run the T5P2 just fine. The DP-X1, especially balanced, doesn't have any trouble pushing them.
