NOBLE Savant Thread (Impressions, Reviews, Tours)
Alw Always preferred the wheels on the e36... In much the same way that I much prefer the 2 drivers in my savants than in my se425. No comparison really.- ScottK

NOBLE Savant Thread (Impressions, Reviews, Tours)
This is a ridiculous comment. However 'noble' you think other iem manufacturers are, I assure you that they exist solely to make money for their owners. The savant is the first noble product I have bought (so you can't dismiss me as a fan boy) and I couldn't be happier with it. Everything...- ScottK

NOBLE Savant Thread (Impressions, Reviews, Tours)
I have found the Savant anything but tiring. They only arrived on Friday but yesterday/today I've worn them pretty much all day with no fatigue. I've found that there is some sibilance but not to a level which detracts in any way from the overall experience. I really couldn't be happier with...- ScottK

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
Finally UPS sorted themselves out and the Savants have finally arrived. The design is great and exactly as I hoped. Not much I can add to what's been already been written, but they are exactly what I was looking for. Very brief initial thoughts... clarity and separation are excellent...- ScottK

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
9.5 weeks wait and my Savant's are finally in the building. Or at least they were as UPS decided not to deliver them because I hadn't paid the duty. I tried to pay the duty on the phone this morning, but they insisted that I pay the driver cash. The driver, never asked anyone for payment...- ScottK

Thanks, I will take a look and also will try the AK Jr. I realise to wait is the sensible option, but I just don't have the patience.- ScottK

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
Slightly off topic, but I'm waiting for some Savant's to arrive and I have been thinking about a new DAP to go with it. I listen to pretty much every genre of music, but was wondering if there were any players that people have found particularly suited to the Savant? I currently use an iPhone 6.- ScottK

I used to think that the impact on my bank account was the worst thing about this hobby. Turns out I was wrong. The worst thing is waiting for new kit to arrives. Savants ordered 5 weeks ago, hopefully nearly here...- ScottK

New desktop setup?
I really couldn't be happier with these. Lightweight, comfortable (I wear them for ~5 hours/day), plenty of bass (for my tastes), soundstage great so all of the concerns I read about on other threads are not an issue to me. They never leave my desk, an old fiio amp I had connected to my...- ScottK

New desktop setup?
Thanks for your help. Decided to take a punt and went for k712 - only in the US for a couple of days so didn't have much time to order etc. Clearly the budget has gone out of the window, but I do still need something to drive them... Anyway, they just arrived. 'Expect... and discover...- ScottK

New desktop setup?
I prefer a neutral sound, although I'm quite happy if there are more pronounced mids (I still listen to my Shure SE530 a lot). Large soundstage is important to me.- ScottK

New desktop setup?
Seems posting this in the full-size section wasn't well received... Anyway, I'm in the process of changing job and am going to spend a lot of time in an office on my own over the next few months and I was looking for suggestions for some new kit. My source will be a macbook pro (mainly...- ScottK

New desktop setup...
I'm in the process of changing job and am going to spend a lot of time in an office on my own over the next few months and I was looking for suggestions for some new kit. My source will be a macbook pro (mainly ALAC files) and I can spend ~$500, to include a DAC/amp and some headphones...- ScottK

The Wizard Appreciation Thread - Long Live the Wizard - The former HA Appreciation Thread
Last time I used Comply tips was the ones that came with SM3 and the included ones were too long for my ear canals and I didn't like how soft they got. I had a lot of spare Shure olives and as they fitted I went for those. Been struggling since. 500s are the right size for 5.0s?- ScottK

Quote: Completely agree with this. Just moved on from SM3 (which Shure olives fit on) to heir 5.0 and I'm really missing the isolation. Big step up in many ways, but I miss the isolation.- ScottK

The Wizard Appreciation Thread - Long Live the Wizard - The former HA Appreciation Thread
The headphone industry doesn't need a PR machine - we all do it for them on this website and continue to buy ever more expensive IEMs on these recommendations. When I first looked a this website, I used $50 sennheiser, then moved up to se210, se530, sm3, heir 5.0 from tmw (and various full...- ScottK

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)
Loved my old 530s (although eventually tired of the sound), only just seen this and now wondering if I've made the right decision with my Heir 5.0 arriving in the morning. Either way, experience tells me that buying Shure's at launch rather than a few months down the line is a good waste of a...- ScottK

How is Monster iSport?
I just got a pair of these to use in the gym. It's hard to comment on them for anything other than gym use though. Compared to my everyday headphones (SM3 and SE535) they aren't in the same league, and I'm not in a position to recommend them for everyday phones (I've only listened to them...- ScottK

Listened Audio?
I'm thinking of finally making the step up and buying some customs (currently use SM3 and SE535, with iPod and fiio e7). While these will unfortunately be at the lower end of the customs range due to budget restrictions (JH5, UE4 kind of budget), I've finally been convinced that it's worth...- ScottK
