Dethonray Dtr1 Prelude high resolution player
I have a DatR1 Prelude that developed channel imbalance, I would send it over but I'm a bit intimidated. How do I set it up? (Been using an old Pono, which is actually a very nice player)- doctorjazz

Dethonray Dtr1 Prelude high resolution player
Right channel still out, repair involved making to China (a risk with any Chinese gear), and I lost the info on how to do it. Still using my old Pono, considering buying a new DAP.- doctorjazz

Dethonray Dtr1 Prelude high resolution player
Since my DTR Prelude stopped functioning as it should, I've been listening to an old Pono I still have (actually have 2). It's a nice sounding unit, have to say...(silly shape, though).- doctorjazz

Dethonray Dtr1 Prelude high resolution player
Mine went out in the left channel-I haven't taken care of this, I think the only thing to do (that I know of) is to contact Anson in China, and send it there. Have been hesitating to do that.- doctorjazz

The Pono Player Impressions Thread
That seens to be the opposite of what I'd need (it takes 2 cables in and makes 1 balanced cable out; would convert a Pono balanced cable to one that could go into a 2.5 mm balanced player. But I get the idea-I think I even have a converter cable around somewhere...- doctorjazz

I have a number of iem's, basically it comes down to the snap in or 2 pin connectors usually. I'll try them (custom build sounds expensive, though...)- doctorjazz

Just curious, is it still possible to get balanced iem cables for Pono? (I searched the old places, Surf Cables, a few others, seems they no longer sell them. Not shocking, but I'd get some if they were available...)- doctorjazz

Wow!that looks amazing! Still using my modded MicroZOTL2 and the headphone output on my living room stereo (Peachtree Audio GrandPre). Probably not headphone Summit Fi, but works for me (the LooToo looks like it's built like a tank!)- doctorjazz

Hi, Ruth is and John, long tone no "see". Don't hang out here much these days (actually spend most time listening to speakers, glad you enjoy them (listen to my Pono every night, though, fall asleep using it).- doctorjazz

The Pono Player Impressions Thread
My Dethonray Prelude isn't functioning well (I may send it for repair one of these days, but I've had bad experiences before sending gear to China for repair), so I'm back to using my Pono, and like it very much (I have 2, but the sd card in one seems to have corrupted, so I'm using the other...- doctorjazz

LH Labs Geek Out v2+ Discussion Thread
Looking for help-I still use my Geek Out Special Edition (with LPS and the digital decrapifier LH lab had for a while). I play music off a PC, using JRiver. I just tried, and the LH Labs isn't listed in JRiver as a possible output (I believe that means the drivers have somehow disappeared). I...- doctorjazz

LG V40 ThinQ
Use my V60 all the time, usually alone, sometimes into an external dac/amp). It's a great music player, not that reliable add a phone. I lost sound when I get a call or text (other sounds are fine), and for the life of me I can't find a setting that fixes it. Oh well, it was relatively...- doctorjazz

Philly 'Burbs Meet on Feb 5th, 2023 - NO Football that weekend!
So sorry I missed it-my wife's had a rough start to the year, pretty much been ill off and on past 2 months (not COVID, at least according to home tests, but miserable nonetheless). Just couldn't leave her for the day. Sounds like I missed a great time, hopefully next time I can (miss these...- doctorjazz

Philly 'Burbs Meet on Feb 5th, 2023 - NO Football that weekend!
I just heard about this-was at a few years back (everything I've done was years back, it seems), loved them! Would love to come, wife is ill right now (asthma, bronchitis, not COVID, but she's pretty miserable-I'm OK). It'll depend on how she's doing by then. Haven't kept up with the latest...- doctorjazz

KOSS ESP-950 Thread
Haven't used my Koss in quite a while, (mostly using iems, or my Hifiman HEK v2 or HE-560), but couldn't stand that volume control either, so I got a Stax srm-323 for it (you need an adaptor for the cable, Stax and Koss connect differently). I did like using it, but it's just too much trouble to...- doctorjazz

I have V1 and V2-used to use V1 quite a bit with an iPad 3, line out into a Microzotl2 amp, with a variety of headphones. Long time since anyone's been on this thread. I still use Geek Out SE out of my PC, JRiver software. I also use JRiver, but you can just drag/drop with the Pono when it's connected, if I remember correctly (have 2 Ponos, but haven't used them in a while-Dethoneray Prelude, which also only plays music on a SD card, is my current go-to. But I've pulled out the Ponos as back up here and there).- doctorjazz
