I have a copy of Media Center 24 which works with the Amanero driver. Here are photos of my settings. I hope this helps. I would ask your questions in the JRiver interactive forum if problems continue.- DBB1

Four years after the L.K.S DA004: the Musetec DA005 DAC
Thanks for the tip. I just grounded the switch and the sound seems a bit more relaxed or smoother. I imagined that the sound quality of the 005 was close to being at its maximum when I added the streamer. I have just spent an addition 1/2 hour listening to familiar music with the switch...- DBB1

I also see there are some actual linear power supplies that are $50 more than the Ifi. It's tempting to just go with one of them. See Topping P50 for example.- DBB1

Thanks for the recommendation. I tried the D-Link DSG105 with the Zen Stream today. I have not yet bought an improved power supply, but I did hear a definite increase in clarity. The switch made a nice incremental improvement for only $25.- DBB1

Four years after the L.K.S DA004: the Musetec DA005 DAC
I am using an Ifi Zen Stream with a linear power supply and an ethernet cable from a range extender to my 005. I like the sound quality of the Zen Stream. Do you agree that adding a D-Link DSG105 or other switch would improve the sound further? Is running the ethernet from an extender inferior...- DBB1

This is a quote from the Audiogon forum on the 005: "Just got my 005 and my jaw hit the floor upon first listen. Only got about an hour worth of listening, but immediately I knew it was something special after the first test track. Big step up from my Gustard X26 Pro."- DBB1

Four years after the L.K.S DA004: the Musetec DA005 DAC
Epilogue I mention in my original review that I would report back after listening to music from the May for a few days. This time the listening was in a normal manner without labored A/B comparisons. My original conclusions did not change. Since, in my case, the sound of a live concert is a...- DBB1

Thanks for the detailed response. I'm beginning to think I should try the HPA4. I'm currently using the Hegel P30 which is a good preamp. I think Benchmark allows a 30 return. Do you hav any thoughts on that?- DBB1

iFi audio ZEN Stream - Streaming elevated to a higher plane
I have a linear power supply that outputs 12 volts and 2 amps. Is the 2 amp a problem with the Zen Stream or is it safely compatible?- DBB1

The Holo Spring 3 sounds like the May, but not as good. It depends on your personal preference. If you like accuracy and realistic detail, then pick the Mustec. If you prefer smooth sound with a very black background . . . Did you see this review?- DBB1
