Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread

Thanks for the information. I would need to check the length of the cable later. Mine comes with the nice case which looks like a mini briefcase.

Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread

Partly agreed. Some expensive gear may sound worse than cheaper gear but price is surely a factor when it comes to sound quality in my opinion and experience with the loudspeaker based system. To further expand, good expensive hifi > good cheap hifi. For my loudspeaker based system, if an amp or...

Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread

I'm not sure about the difference in sound quality between the BTR3K and KA3/KA13 but will likely acquire the KA13 based on looks. The KA13 looks better than the KA3 and BTR3K to me. I suspect the difference will be quite small between the units as they are all closely priced.

Price Point For Reference Quality IEMs Before Diminishing Returns Kick In

Thanks for the opinion. $200-500 seems to be a healthy range. The costliest IEMs I own are below $100 and the next will be slightly above $200. I guess I'm all covered!

    Simgot IEM discussion thread.

Yes I am aware of that but unfortunately I am not a person who fiddle with the nozzles. Having said that, I'll find time to swap the nozzles on the EA500LM later.

Price Point For Reference Quality IEMs Before Diminishing Returns Kick In

Thanks. I read your EA1000 review last week. Your review is very thorough and technical. I'm not sure if anyone could do better. I'm certainly impressed! I haven't read your Pilgrim's review and will do it right now.

Price Point For Reference Quality IEMs Before Diminishing Returns Kick In

Thanks. I will keep the Elysian Pilgrim in mind. It looks good and useful to know the sound quality is aligned to my preferences. The price is a bit too much for me at the moment but they will surely be in my shortlist in the near future.

Price Point For Reference Quality IEMs Before Diminishing Returns Kick In

By the way, I did a quick check on the Simgot EA1000 vs Moondrop Kato. The EA1000 appears to have the edge..

Price Point For Reference Quality IEMs Before Diminishing Returns Kick In

Thanks for the opinion. That's what I'm afraid, paying a big sum of money just to find out it isn't delivering the goods as the cheaper alternatives sound better.

Price Point For Reference Quality IEMs Before Diminishing Returns Kick In

Have you tried the Simgot EA1000? If the Elysian Pilgrim's clarity and detail are a notch higher than the EA1000 with an extended and airy treble, it should be good then. The price is higher than the EA1000 but it doesn't matter if there is a good noticeable difference/improvement.

    Simgot IEM discussion thread.

Does anybody here own both EA500LM and EA1000? The latter is supposed to sound noticeably more transparent with better clarity, separation and detail than the EA500LM isn't it? I've read that the EA1000 sounds a bit brighter with airier and more extended treble than the EA500LM too, all traits...

Price Point For Reference Quality IEMs Before Diminishing Returns Kick In

I currently own the Simgot EW200 and EA500LM and wish to know at what price people need to spend to get into reference quality IEMs before diminishing returns kick in. I'm aware all IEMs have their own sound signature and it's all good if some prefer bright, or some folks prefer warm, or some...

Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread

I didn't know there's an updated Takstar 82 Pro v2. Mine should be the V1 as I think I bought it about 5 years ago if not more.

Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread

Thanks. Just checked on Hifiman HE400SE. The price is significantly lower than Simgot EA1000 iems, it's actually lower than EA500LM too. I will see how it goes. I already have Takstar 82 Pro and rarely use it these days.

Yes it's an IEM. Simgot EA1000.

Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread

Thanks. After reading your post I now have a slight hesitation of getting the EA1000 but will likely end up with it. Will see how it goes.

Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread

Thanks for the post. I think I'm stuck with the Simgot. I'll be getting the EA1000 and a FIIO BTR3K or KA13 soon, likely end of this month. I'm happy with the EA500LM and can just end it here. However, I'm just curious and have some extra cash to spend at the moment so will give it a go. I'll...

Thanks. Yes I tried fiddling with it and currently have it in the middle position. Sounds just right here.

Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread

Is the BTR3K or KA3 a better choice solely on sound quality? I don't really need wireless. The KA3 looks rather sleek and nice.

Comment by 'ryder78' in item 'Simgot EA500 LM'

Thanks for all replies. The EA500LM is really a killer. I haven't tried everything out there but at this price the performance is stellar. If I have the itch, the EA1000 will be it. My Takstar 82 Pro full-sized headphones suddenly sound like it's broken when I switched to/from the EA500LM...

Comment by 'ryder78' in item 'Simgot EA500 LM'

Gents, I'm late to the party. I currently own both EW200 and EA500LM. The EA500LM is surely a noticeable improvement from the EW200, and I like it a lot. I use the EA500LM solely with my phone. I was wondering, is there anything that has better clarity, separation, detail, more textured and...

Headphones Which Sound Like Simgot EA500LM

I recently acquired the Simgot EA500LM and it sounds noticeably better than the Takstar 82 Pro. I am aware it's not exactly a fair comparison since it's IEM vs full-sized headphones but the difference is quite massive. The clarity, detail, bass, treble, basically everything sounds better with...

Takstar Pro 82/GM200 Review, impressions and discussion thread

It has been quite a while since I visited this thread. I recently acquired the Simgot EA500LM and although it's IEM, the clarity, detail, separation, bass, treble, basically everything sounds better than the Takstar Pro 82. The Takstar sounds muddy and washed-out in comparison. I was just...

    Anything Better Than Simgot EA500LM

BTW it can be IEM or a full-sized headphone. I also have a Takstar 82 Pro and comparing it to the Simgot EA500LM, there is a severe lack of clarity, separation and detail with the Takstar 82 Pro. Everything sounds muddier and washed-out with the Takstar full-sized headphones.

    Anything Better Than Simgot EA500LM

I currently use EW200 and EA500LM with my mobile phone and have to say the EA500LM is stunning for the price. I like it very much, a complete and balanced sound with good textured bass and resolving treble. The EW200 although good clearly lacks the detail and sophistication of the EA500LM. I...
