JH Audio Layla and Angie - Head-Fi TV
Is anyone secretly hoping the custom versions are much smaller and protrude less out of the year? Has anyone noticed whether custom Roxannes avoid sticking out as much? I'm sold on the sound, but too worried about the massive size. Almost hard to call these IEM's with so much of each piece...- Tonyflo

Audeze EL-8: The EL-8 is a must-hear at CES 2015
What if these are like the Beyer T-5p -- similar sound quality to the T1, but lower impedance, lighter, more portable, etc? That could put them in a similar price range to the current LCD-2, X, 3...just sayin'. Real question: would you want sound every bit as good as the current line at...- Tonyflo

Audeze EL-8: The EL-8 is a must-hear at CES 2015
Thanks for dripping out info and pics Jude, soooo excited for a lighter/sleeker Audeze line -- even at current price range. (I agree with those who think these won't be sub $1000. Let's not set ourselves up for disappointment guys!)- Tonyflo

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"
Question for custom owners -- I've never seen custom Roxannes in person, but I did try the universals at the SF meet last weekend and was a bit shocked by their size. They are literally two "monstrosities" protruding out of your ears. Is this the case with the customs -- or do they fit into...- Tonyflo

Audeze LCD-X
Just got the LCDX today -- must say, WOW! So impressed with detail, spaciousness and realism. I still consider myself newer to hi-res audio and gear, but I was able to try a few other high-end models at the store -- HD800, LCDXC, etc and the LCDX sounded best to me by far. The most "real" and...- Tonyflo

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"
Yes, curious to see how the universal looks in the ear and how snug/similar the fit is compared to customs....- Tonyflo

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"
ALO has nicer pictures, but both models seem to be carbon fiber: http://www.aloaudio.com/earphones/roxanne-by-jh-audio http://www.moon-audio.com/jh-audio-sirens-series-roxanne-universal-iem.html# I like ALO, always had great service/experience from them in the past -- so I would...- Tonyflo

The Astell & Kern AK240
This has probably been covered, but is there a US/North America release date set yet? Sorry, this thread is so long, and I researched their site and the web and could not find that info.- Tonyflo

Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28)
Geez! At this point, I feel like we need two separate threads... 1) Sound/tech/impressions and 2) "complain/debate about the price" thread. Unfortunately, this thread is about 90% the latter, I hope someone starts a new impressions-only thread soon as I'm curious to hear even more about...- Tonyflo

SF Bay Area Meet on Sunday February 17, 2013 (the one which is really going to happen)
Count me in if there's still some space. I have a Audioquest Dragonfly, Sennheiser Momentum, Denon D2000, JH16, and CLAS/Mk2 combo but those will likely be sold. Could have an LCD-2 or something else by then. I live in Palo Alto so is an easy drive and would be willing to help set up or clean up...- Tonyflo

[REVIEW] Sennheiser Momentum - The Real Deal
Hey guys, I posted this on another thread, but if you hear of when Senn will release Momentum BLACK, would be much appreciated. I think the sound + looks + quality on that headphone will be unbeatable for the price.- Tonyflo

Sennheiser MOMENTUM Review
Great thread, subscribed. These seem to be a fantastic all-around portable solution... was considering Ultrasone Ed8's but just can't see myself spending $800-1000 for headphones with mixed reviews and 3 years old. Some reviewers I trust have even said they like the sound of these Senns better. ...- Tonyflo

SF Bay Area Annual Meet 1Q 2013 Interest Check Thread
I'm interested. I live in Palo Alto, can't bring too much -- just have CLAS (v1) and ALO mk2 (looking to sell them), modded Denon D2000, Audioquest Dragonfly, JH16. Not sure how much good those items will do anyone but would be willing to chip in if there is cost. Would love to meet...- Tonyflo

New ALO balance amp-MKIII at RMAF
Thank you. Notice I was not bashing ALO at all, the opposite actually. I love their products. And exactly as you noted, I'm a customer who has spent over $1300 with them in the last 12 months, nothing to sneeze at. I don't feel I have a "right" to updates on a product I haven't purchased, just...- Tonyflo

New ALO balance amp-MKIII at RMAF
Obviously ALO doesn't owe us any answers, but it's really weird that Ken or someone else from the team hasn't posted here. The thread is a good sign people want the product - I myself have been very happy with my CLAS and Mk2 - but the silence often causes people to assume the worst. ...- Tonyflo

New ALO balance amp-MKIII at RMAF
Agreed. Especially since: 1) there's really been little or no mention of CLAS v2... 2) the mk3 was supposed to be out by now, and is not... and 3) there hasn't even been a solid estimated date given on the mk3 release in a long time (unless I missed it.) Given all that, seems the mk3...- Tonyflo

New ALO balance amp-MKIII at RMAF
Hopefully Ken chimes in with an estimated release date - and hopefully it's not 3 months from now. I think this thing is gonna rock, already have the CLAS and JH16 with DH cables/interconnects, so when this goes live gonna place my order and have my termination changed to balanced! Can't wait :)- Tonyflo
