Logical DAP Upgrade over Sansa Fuze
If you're looking for a neural sounding DAP then I would not recommend the Fiio X1. It has a warmish slightly bass heavy sound signature.- Digital-Pride

Looking for a Neutral Sounding DAP Under 150
Hey guys and gals! I have the Sennheiser HD518 and as many of you know, it has a nice warm, bassy and dynamic sound signature. I recently got the Fiio X1 and it was not a great pairing(at least for me). I found the pair a little too warm(sound wise). So, I'm looking for a more neutral sounding...- Digital-Pride

The FiiO X1 Discussion and Help and Support Thread |192K/24B|100mW | LO | inline remote
Hey guys and gals! I've been using the X1 over the past couple of days and I'm really enjoying the sound. I find the sound quality goes up a notch with the line out to Fiio's A3 amp. Is there any way to lower the volume of the line out? The volume get pretty loud just after the channel...- Digital-Pride

Sennheiser HD 598 Impressions Thread
Are you kidding me?! Fake HD598s?! And from Amazon no less! I didn't think that was possible but, thanks for the heads up. This makes a bit nervous, as I ordered a like-new entry model(HD518) directly from them yesterday. Guess I'll find out Thursday.- Digital-Pride

The AKG K712 Pro Support and Impressions Thread
Another excellent unboxing video Mike. I wonder how similar the K601 and K612 sound? The one nock of the K601 was it's relatively weak bass performance. I hope the 612 recieved a bass increase as well.- Digital-Pride

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
That's because the HD600 series of headphones are fully capable of showing the benefits of top-end gear. In fact, before the advent of grand headphones like the HD800, many users built high-end rigs around the HD600 and HD650.- Digital-Pride

Personally, I don't view the recessed gain and cross feed switch as a negative or a deal breaker.- Digital-Pride

Fiio Andes (E07K) VS. Fiio E17: What's the difference, and how does it sway the amateur audiophile?
Quote: The amp section of the E07K(from what I've read) is bit warmer than neutral, while the E12's is more neutral with a much larger power output.- Digital-Pride

FiiO Mont Blanc/E12 portable headphone amp, 880mW, slim design, full metal case. Bass boost and Cross feed!
Quote: I don't think any of us here are expecting this to be a portable Beta-22 or Blue Hawaii. But considering its specs, price, and Fiio's reputation for quality products, is it really that surprising that many of us are excited about it?- Digital-Pride

If you can swing it, I would suggest going for the E12. From it's specs and topology, it looks like a top performer.- Digital-Pride
