New Beyer DT1350
For glass wearers, the split headband + supraaural = comfort + isolation, IMO. Hopefully it sounds better than HD25-1s although I own two pairs of HD25-1s...- maudemaude

Any one have ideas about the thumb screw of RSA - SR71/SR71A ?
I tried, maybe I should go to some more RC shop next time. It is really annoying to think about this, however $50 for two screw thumbs seems to be ridiculous... If the screw is in size M3, everything is fine. ...- maudemaude

Any one have ideas about the thumb screw of RSA - SR71/SR71A ?
I have a SR71A while one thumb screw at the back got lost accidentally. I cannot find any replacement around. Could any one kindly tell me where & how can I get one in UK ? I actually asked Ray but he said he is too busy so only posts with FedEX, which means a pair of thumb screws would...- maudemaude

Questions about UK VAT and custom tax. I purchased some stuffs from the US.
Recently I bought a used and a new items from the US, there should be no custom on them but I still need to pay some VAT. The problem is I don't know whether the parcels will arrive first then I pay the VAT or the parcels will be stuck at UK custom without informing me until I contract them?- maudemaude

how much noise reduction is enough?
Quote: Probably not, I've checked the user manual it says the output impedance is 60 ohms (http://www.mackie.com/products/402vlz3/pdf/402VLZ3_OM.pdf) ER4P will not make too much difference except for being a bit less analytical, having less bright highs and a bit more bass. ...- maudemaude

Yes, a quality amp does this, sometimes it changes (colours) the sound a bit by intention.- maudemaude

Recommendation of head phones for personal use
AKG K240Studio could be a choice but it indeed need some amps to have a much better sound, even though it is easy to be driven by PCs, this could be a common sense on most of full-sized headphones, especially when you intend to play classical music. While the "true sound" might not be...- maudemaude

HF5 with P-S converter? Possible?
I owned a pair of HF2 and previous owned ER4P with P2S. HF2 and HF5 have nearly the identical sound, which has the lower end of mids enhanced to make it more bassy. While ER4P has more punchy bass, precise mids and better highs. If you try P2S + HF5 with good source the sound is...- maudemaude

Sennheiser IE8 In Ear Headphones for £62.33???
Senn IE7s are more much suitable for pop/rock as they have good bass & vocal and response a little faster than IE8s but you have to wait for a long run-in, which takes at least 300 hours.- maudemaude

Finally finished modding my SR-80's
Good mod! An alternative is purchasing a pair of hard pads from Grado, which will provide a better sound stage (I would not care about sound stage if I like SR80s), but a bit expensive.- maudemaude

Need some bass headphones.
You may think of Sennheiser HD280Pros, it just fits Rocks and Technos. The sound is detailed(not muffled) with good bass and warm mids (but somewhat laid back), however it might not be very comfortable to wear as it is designed for monitoring.- maudemaude

If you would not like to use amps, please consider M50. AD700 could just sound loud on PC/MACs while M50 would sound nice.- maudemaude
