Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

I'd say they need a good bit of EQ and as nice and clean of a power source you can muster. Got my i3 running off a Qudelix 5K with EQ on the 2.5mm balanced out and they sound amazing! Standard 3.5mm out of a phone? Not going to cut it, what so ever. Yeah, honestly you don't get any of these...

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

i4's I'm sure are better than the i3's but I don't know if they're $1,000+ better...I'm really satisfied with the i3's and the 5K honestly. I know things can be way better on both ends but for the money and the sound it delivers it's better than anything else "portable" that I've heard. I would...

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

These Koss 950's blow the i3 out of the water on all accounts and definitely my preferred for main listening but for portable listening these i3 beat any in ear or portable headphone I've ever owned, hands down. The Koss are portable technically and actually come with a C-cell battery pack but...

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

Dude these Audeze are made to EQ... They sound nearly crap without it. They handle everything flawlessly. I have mine pretty V-shaped... They handle bass like you wouldn't believe and can be crisp and crystally without being fatiguing. Yeah, use 2.5mm if you can, for sure, and try a good bass...

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

I can tell you 100% objectively no opinions about it that the Audeze cables are TRASH and do the whole iSine and i3/4 series a grave injustice. The BT cable is literally a joke...my $20 Amazon TRN cable not only gets way louder and has more power but the audio quality is unquestionably better...

Audeze iSINE 10 & iSINE 20: Audeze releases two new IEM planar magnetic earphones

Just wanted to share my little Frankenstein creation. It consists of the Audeze LCD-i3 in-ear planar headphone, a Qudelix 5K Bluetooth Amp with magnetic USB-C charger/data connection, a 18-core HiFi-Hear 2.5mm balanced cable, a sacrificial and butchered vintage Sony TRH-2 headphone/band, and...

I need this, but cleaner and more streamlined. Thoughts? Help?

So in a hunt and desire to make my Audeze LCD-i3's my main portable rig (I've got the Koss ESP-950's for the main rig) I've devised this hideous monstrosity: So this is literally the i3's with a 18-core full length 2.5mm balanced to 2-pin cable going to a Qudelix 5K all zip-tied and...

"Ear Kegs" - MusicMaker Phantom III / Shockwave III appreciation & impressions

I've heard the MMCX version can be a bit shrill...but they apparently fixed this? $80 is definitely a great price. Bass is fast and accurate. Bloat isn't something the SW3 does, at all.

8 balanced armatures per ear, amazing sound. Cable is made by TRN and is Bluetooth 5.0 with AptX support. This cable has MORE than enough power for these IEM's, seriously, I was expecting sort of paltry sound considering how much power these IEM's need but this cable has no issues. Easily the...

"Ear Kegs" - MusicMaker Phantom III / Shockwave III appreciation & impressions

Sony I've found usually has a slightly V-shaped sound. Little bass boost, clear mids, elevated highs. Pretty much describes the SW3 IMO. Should be a beautiful match. As for the SW3 themselves, yes, they're pretty damn good. How much you looking at getting them used for?

Maybe a bit fluff, but for those who know, straight up, is there a worthwhile upgrade to an EQ'ed ESP-950 for around a grand?

Got the OG Koss ESP-950 about a year ago, stock amp, ART Pro 342 15-band EQ, Sabaj Da3 dual Sabre 9018's from my PC. Custom, personal full grain leather pads and headband made to my specification by Vesper Audio...my God...best headphone setup I've ever owned, hands down and I've owned a lot...

Vesper audio custom earpads impressions thread

Nope, bass is better (or at least doesn't distort anymore due to a better seal) but otherwise they sound just like they did before...just way more comfortable and premium feeling. Though, I do need to stress the better seal and better bass. Hands down the best headphones I've ever heard though...

Are high price IEM's even worth it anymore? Where's their place now?

Having owned the ~$350 used/$450 new Koss ESP-950 now for a few months I'm even more convinced super expensive stuff isn't worth it considering these are by far the best headphone I've ever heard while costing 2-3x less than other headphones I've owned or heard. And don't get me wrong, higher...

Vesper audio custom earpads impressions thread

Sorry for the late reply, just seeing this response! Apart from the bass they sound the same for the most part. As for price I think it was like $115 all said and done for the pads and headband, shipping included. DEFINITELY well worth it, I'm still impressed everytime I put these Koss on!

Vesper audio custom earpads impressions thread

Hello! Just got my custom pads and headband cover from Vesper for my Koss ESP-950's! Here's some pics first off: My impressions so far are very good! First off, the headband, WOW! For the $15 paid I was fully expecting just a piece of cut out simple leather with some Velcro stuck on, which...

"Ear Kegs" - MusicMaker Phantom III / Shockwave III appreciation & impressions

"Ear Kegs" - MusicMaker Phantom III / Shockwave III appreciation & impressions

Sorry for the late reply but this snuck by me somehow. Anyways, the stock cable is ONLY 3-wires...left, right, and common ground. So soldering on a balanced jack is not possible. I tried, it's why I'm recabling mine now (well adding MMCX jacks and I'm being SUPER lazy about it). If you want...

The Koss ESP950 thread (ESP owners, please contribute! :)

I'm sorry, but could you expand on this some? It's seems like as if one almost just needs to contact Vesper and just ask what they can make. All the custom pads here from them certainly make me want something more to my liking. That's good to know. Definitely been thinking about it but yes...
