Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)
I'm really starting to question the legitimacy of ibuygou. I know a lot of you guys have used that website but its been over 2 months now and I have yet to get my order. I know Chinese new year and all but I ordered my piston 2.0 a month before that and they haven't replied to any of my emails...- Icy56

The Audio Technica M50 studio monitor thread
Quote: Quote: How is the change in SQ though in terms of bass and such? is it as drastic as the Shure's? and is the fit pretty much just like the m50 pads? My pads are starting to crack so I need a replacement pretty soon- Icy56

The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..
Quote: What I did was peel off the fabric coating. It got extremely messed up after using these to work out. I plan on maybe picking up a while air of these so that I get a normal cable or going back the the philips she3580 because those were actually perfect for working out.- Icy56

The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..
For those of you monoprice fans who have android phones, I really recommend checking this out! It's an IRS correction filter created by JoeOBloggs and it improves the sound of these even more! What it does is adjust the fr of the iems and brings them closer to a reference-grade sound. I love...- Icy56

upgrade from ath-m50's with more mids and deeper bass?
What about the V-Moda m80? Joker seemed to really like them especially for the mids. He gave the M80 a higher score than the m50 in his headphone review thread.- Icy56

Surprise TDK MT-300: $4.97 of AWESOME...
I just got my package from atomiknOOb and boy do I feel like a little kid at Christmas haha! So far i'm loving these little bad boys! They have slight V/U-Shaped sound to them but they still play pretty well with different genres of music. The build quality is quite nice and even though the...- Icy56

Surprise TDK MT-300: $4.97 of AWESOME...
Quote: Yeah at least for me I saw a good difference with voodoo sound. I love using my phone as my main media player. You might want to install a custom rom that already supports voodoo sound since it's a faster process. I find custom roms to run better than stock anyways so in the end...- Icy56

Best headphones for a 13 year old?
yeah I say get him some v-moda m80s if you can find a cheap pair or maybe v-moda crossfades since he might enjoy the consumer sound signature more. I would recommend other headphones but since he is a kid, durability is a huge factor if you want the product to last. I advise you to buy...- Icy56

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret
Quote: oh wow, so you're liking these much more than the fx40s and 101s?!?!? I was thinking of getting the fx31 since dsnuts was raving about how good they were and how they were the best of both worlds but it seems like everyone is getting impressed by these...- Icy56

Upgrading from stock apple headphones- under $30
Surprisingly the bass doesn't take much away. I was really impressed with the IEM, it would be my go to set right now if I hadn't given the pair to my brother who actually also has the M9 but never uses them... If you havent done so yet, I suggest looking at the JVC FX101 discovery thread...- Icy56

Upgrading from stock apple headphones- under $30
I'd get the JVC. In my opinion, they just blow away the M9's..I never really enjoyed any of my Meelec iems. Most seemed to have a fit and driver flex issue that just really annoyed me...- Icy56

best headphones for a school bus
I personally didn't like the m50s. They are over hyped in my opinion and they aren't very good for portable use. They are pretty big and isolation is just meh. I think you'd enjoy the jvc's much more.- Icy56

best headphones for a school bus
Um no? If you actually read my post, you'd see that I was telling him to get the jvc s500 not the noontec...and to answer your question, they isolate fairly well. Not the best but good enough for public transportation. These are seriously the best portable headphones you can get for the money...- Icy56
