Just had to say, mine CX500 left side has also died reacently, and i ordered fxt90 from Ebay (haven't heared them yet).

My budget is under 100$. I don't like over-bassed earphones, I preffer natural once. I saw the shure 215 and the hifiman re-zero which seems to get fairly good reviews. Is there another option? which once should fit me the best?

As far as I remmember the "i" means that its the updated model=better.

i dont understand the problem in the udac, im using windows 7 and 90% of my music is flac-apple losseless and is see its sample rate= 44.100kHz and sample size=16bit, the connection will be usb and the music player is itunes or winamp will it make a problem? and what does WASAPI/Kernel  means?

so for 100$ its the udac. what can i get for 200$? (like allways ill end up with tripel the cost...) i looked at the hifiman EF2A USB Headphone Amplifier that looks great. im just worried that the udac wont be able to move high omp headphones that i might upgrade to, like Beyerdynamic DT...

i have full size seround amp (well its not suppous to be for music) with 1/4 amped headphone port, the hd555 indeed dosent sound much better, but there is no static noise, the sr225 did improve but nothing to dramatic. the most imprtent part for me is the dac right now.
