So my Fuze arrived today and I was fortunate enough to get a v1. My problem is this, whenever I touch the wheel or home button, the screen goes black. I messed with the backlight time and set it stay on for 15 minutes but as soon as I touch the wheel *poof*. About 4 seconds and it comes back on...

I'm not going to vote as I've not heard any of them, but I've been looking at the musiland closely. If you read it's 50 page thread more than one person says that it sounds better than than the essence with upgraded opamps.

I''ve been thinking about getting an HRT MS2, MS VDAC, Firestone Fubar 2, or this Musiland Monitor 02 US. Could anyone compare them? I know it's a fair bit cheaper and includes a headphone socket I have 0 use for, but as a first time DAC buyer, it looks worth a stab.

It turns out that the total for the cheaper of the two DAC19 models will total at £370 and I just can't stretch that far, at least not for the moment. £200/$300 is much more agreeable. Any suggestions along the lines of that budget?
