Hey guys. I have never gotten as much use out of these as I had hoped. I want to invest more into my other hobbies so I decided to let these bassy bois go. They're in fantastic condition as a result. I don't have the original box or cable, just what's pictured here. Let me know if you have any...- Malevolint

I think you need more time with the Trio to understand the differences. To me, the Trio and Fourte are very different (I have both). I would say that the Trio has a tuning that works with a wider variety of genres than the Fourte, mainly because the treble is sharper on the Fourte. The Fourte...- Malevolint

I hate to say it, but I agree with the sentiment that gear with smoothed treble seems to be less technical. Before you get upset, I don't see this as a bad thing, though. I think there is a balancing act that audio equipment follows and everything has give and take. The Nio is a smoother iem...- Malevolint

SONY NW-ZX500
I hope he pays really close attention to every app that he installs on his dap because the wrong combination could really mess up your frequency response 😂😂. Should probably check his Android settings too while he's at it.- Malevolint

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)
Thanks man. Things are definitely looking up! I got a call a bit earlier but didn't pick up because I didn't know the number. Checked my voicemail and it was Jack 😳. I nervously called back and he's definitely taking care of it.- Malevolint

Thanks man. Maybe I "fell through the cracks" or something like that. I was dealing with a lot in my personal life so I was just passively waiting. Besides having to pay, nothing really bothered me until I opened that box, then it all cumulatively hit me.- Malevolint

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)
Hey guys, I'm not really sure how to start this, but I'm pretty upset. I was going to make an angry post last week, but I cooled off and decided to reach out to Empire Ears to see if they would rectify the situation. I emailed them 3 days ago and still no reply, so I'm making my angry post...- Malevolint

These aren't very well known, but after spending literal hundreds of dollars on eartips, I use these for everything. They're comfy, stick out a bit past the nozzle and don't change the sound a whole lot...- Malevolint

Hey guys! I've decided that it's time to let these guys go. I'm the first owner and purchased them from Headphones.com about a year or so ago. They've been amazing, but the Fourte kind of took over the Trios spot. While taking pictures, I noticed a couple smalls nicks on the left shell plate...- Malevolint

Oh no, no judgment felt! I just like to give my sermon everytime this comes up lol. I appreciate the recs, but I'd prefer not to have anything that attaches to my phone. It becomes a huge encumbrance. You got me excited for a second though! It really is different, though. I put the btr5 in my...- Malevolint

Yeah ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I know I'll get crucified for saying it but I think that sources are overrated. Did some comparing and I'm happy with my decision. I used a bit of alcohol and it's perfectly clean. Tbh it's a good looking iem even without the faceplate! Thank you for you advice :) I am a person who greatly appreciates mobility. I was actually about to do that, but I remembered that when I re-cabled some Sony mh755's, the super glue caused the copper wire oxidize pretty badly. Gonna have to find something else. I appreciate it, but I think I'm going to try to find a way to fix it myself. Seems like a pretty minor issue...- Malevolint

Yeah you pretty much hit the nail on the head. I hear it all the same way. I'm curious if I can take this further. Tell me if you feel the same way as the following: I think that the trio sounds better with more music because it has a slight tilt towards midbass. With the Fourte and LX, bass can...- Malevolint

Huh.. And I considered myself a basshead lol. Seems I am an amateur compared to you! I can get bass fatigue with repetitive pounding like in this type of music, so the Fourte is perfect for it. When it comes to hip hop, though, I don't think there can be too much bass! I don't even care if it...- Malevolint

A lot of the edm I listen to has pretty fast bass and the LX thumps a bit too hard. With the bass trying to pound quickly, it kind of overwhelms the track and it's hard to get and sense of the soundstage, which can be awesome with some edm. I mostly use my LX for Hip Hop/classical/movies and...- Malevolint
