Best to leave it to match the source. I fail to see the benefit.

What was your source/input to NFB-10ES and what are the headphones in use, that might be the factor?. I have had Master-11 since the last few days, not more than 4hours of listening so far. How did you compare them both?. Ref-10.32 seems pretty close to Master-11 with respect to the specs.

Kingwa pointed out the obvious issue with my setup, mac defaults to 384KHz output for Amanero!!, setting it at 192KHz and below solves the problem, had to use the MIDI utility to fix that, never used it before duh!. 

Did the power on/off thingie and heard some sort of weird high pitch noise. Looking at the pics of internals it could be some cable might have dislodged from the Amanero board. Wulvy,   It looks like the Roc chassis you have gotten does not have vents on the top. The picture in Audio-GD for NFB-10ES in Roc chassis does have vents. Is it ok to use without the vents?.

I think you should try single ended first before going balanced. I also think 1500$ is too low if you are considering balanced DAC and balanced AMPs as different units along with a dedicated transport.
