DENAFRIPS Terminator: the King of R2R dac
I'm very happy with the update, I also agree about the vocals and mid range being better. When I updated the dac I believe it play for over a week before I had time to sit down and listen.- peteg

DENAFRIPS Terminator: the King of R2R dac
One more thing I’ve noticed today is with the new board the USB input is more sensitive to cables, I’m using a USB cable now that was just okay at best now it sounds great, I had a all silver cable I used the most but not now.- peteg

DENAFRIPS Terminator: the King of R2R dac
Well I didn't have a whole lot of time but did sit down for an hour or so to listen to the Termy with and without my SU-6 DDC. My SU-6 has stayed powered on the whole time, I just swapped the USB cable from my Lumin U1 to the USB input on the Termy or to the SU-6 with HDMI out to the Termy. I...- peteg

I still like NOS but on some music it's OS, neither one is wrong, same for the filters both are different and both are very good. Both filters work in NOS, one thing I'll change is the "Slow" filter both X1 and X8 light up and on "Sharp" filter only the X8 light is on. Hope it's not confusing...- peteg

DENAFRIPS Terminator: the King of R2R dac
Got the new board in Friday, running the USB input till this weekend and I will put my singxer su-6 back in using I2s to Termy and see how it sounds. Using the Sharp/Slow filters is a very nice upgrade. But you have to press the" Mute" button then press the "Mode" button to select filters, I...- peteg

Saleh, nice review and system, can't wait for all of us to get the new boards. Is it possible to use Chord's Mscaler dual BNC out into Termy's (new board) dual AES/EBU (with adapter)? https://www.fullcompass.com/prod/011887-neutrik-na2mbnc-xlrm-to-bnc-adapter- peteg

DENAFRIPS Terminator: the King of R2R dac
The setup I like now (might change next week) is Lumin U1 USB > Singxer SU-6 hdmi out> Termy hdmi in (I2s), no upsampling. The Lumin can upsample everything to DSD256 but I don't use it, non-sampling sounds so natural and real to me with air in the room that I love. I go back and forth between...- peteg

I didn't listen with headphones to make my decision thats why I made that statement. Actually I like a tube dac with my headphones, its more relaxing to me.- peteg

I'm not much of going on and on about details of my impressions on what I hear and most importantly my personal preferences in sounds I like but I lived with both Schiit yggy 2 and my termy for weeks, long story short the yggy was sold, this was with speakers if it was just with headphones it...- peteg

Singxer SU-6
I don't think I've ever had any audio gear that would stay on 2+mins after unplugging the power. I only have 150hrs on mine and it's sounding great.- peteg

The U16 can sound very good but the SU-6 edges it out, especially with transparency. I'm using a Denafrips terminator dac.- peteg
