Nice work, Radical!   I think you had the exact same problem as I'm experiencing with my LittleDot DAC_II (the DAC with integrated head amp). Will try that some day soon, fingers crossed.

Not quite true. I had an incident like this. Paid $150 for the IEMs, some 20-25 in shipping, and then about 50 in taxes when they arrived in Norway. I got only the original $150 back AND I had to pay for shipping back to the US (with tracking). Shipping back was about $70, mostly because eBay...

The HD598's cable's got a 3,5mm plug in the headphone-end which you can twist and pull out. Should probably be shorter replacement-cables with 3,5mm in the amp/player-end available soon. Without it you would need the gigantic adapter, which is not at all an elegant solution. Portability...

Spooky; I don't know what purpose the cotton ring serve, but probably some dampening? What I do know is that removing the metal pins that held it together fixed my rattle. It looked kind of cheap and badly done, so I removed them and sew the ends together instead. Worked like a charm for me.

Anyone tried Decware's portable? The information promises 50 hours of playing time with 32-600 Ohm headphones.

Grosse Uli! I'm with Flintvic on that one - please keep us updated! :-)   I have Beyerdynamics lates editions of the DT770, DT880 and DT990, all 600 Ohm. I could always need some advise on matching amps. I'm preferably into desktop setups, but one portable one, for fun, wouldn't be so bad...

Kudos head wouldn't let go of the 770s. Regrettably, he won't be with us for quite some time.

Thanks a bunch for replies :-) The seller insisted on these being both Sigma-models. I really don't have any idea of the differences between the Lambda's and Sigma's looks, but a little reading gives me the impression it's all about personal taste soundwise..

Maybe an experts here could help me with an opinion on how much this set should cost? =) Not much info, except that it's Sigmas and an SRD-7/SB driver. Would be much appreciated.
