Recommend me super-cheap cans.
So far I think I'm going to go with either the Labtec Elite 840/Creative HQ-1300 or Gemini Eggphones or Maxell HP-2000. My old headphones were Panasonic RP-HT711, extremely comfortable and decent sound. Thanks for all your suggestions.- Jman999

Recommend me super-cheap cans.
I wear glasses and find clip-ons quite awkward. Also I don't need portable phones, because A. I have some already, and B.I rarely ever use cans on the go. These are going to be almost exclusively computer phones, for times when I can't use my speakers. As for saving up more money, I spent a...- Jman999

Recommend me super-cheap cans.
I'm looking for a pair of cans for <20 USD shipped. No clip-ons, earbuds or canalphones. Don't really care if it's isolating or not, as long as it doesn't leak too much. (No Gradoesque phones). Comfort is priority, and if I don't get any good suggestions I'll buy a cheap pair of Maxell HP-2000...- Jman999

Panasonic RP-HT711: Impressions
Yes, I considered the KSC-35/75, but decided against it because of my glasses. These headphones may not be the best quality, but they are very comfortable and will work fine for late night game/movie sessions. They already sound a little less harsh after an hour's burn-in so I'm hoping they'll...- Jman999

Panasonic RP-HT711: Impressions
I bought these off headphones off of ebay for <$20 not expecting much. Trying different sources and amps with this headphone didn't really do much to improve the sound. The sound is in few a words: tinny, distant and harsh but for my purposes it is fully acceptable. Maybe the sound will change...- Jman999

HD497 pads
I do not like the stock pads on the HD497, is it possible to get velour pads for them? Thanks, -Jonathan- Jman999

Maxell HP-2000
Let me clarify, I don't want earbuds and I don't wsnt clip-on headphones. I want a good headphone for under $30 with velour or similar material pads. Since $30 cans won't sound better than my speaker system, I'm going to wait to more expensive cans. I'll listen to my speakers whenever I can, but...- Jman999

Maxell HP-2000
It is a good buy for $6 including shipping? When I have the money I want to spring for the Beyer. DT-250-250, but right now I have to buy a new monitor. Also I really want headphones with velour pads and the Maxells are pretty much the only ones that do this for under $10. Thanks...- Jman999

Closed Cans with Good Mids
I probably won't have an amp for a while, but I think's it's important anyways because if an amp will get me the sound I want then I may have to save up. I am also very interested in how the DT-250-250 mids stack up to the AKG 271s mids. -Jonathan.- Jman999

Closed Cans with Good Mids
What closed cans (need to provide at least moderate isolation) out there have good, fun, forward-sounding mids? I don't know want to specify a price, because if there is one that is particularly good, but expensive, I might save up for it. So far the good closed cans I know of are: AKG...- Jman999

Good Headphones for Electronica
Ah, Cyllic, you were referring to the auction that just ended for the HD-25-1. When I checked it this morning it was still at $75. A pair of Hd-25 just sold a week ago for $110 on ebay, so I was it's just a matter of luck and timing. -Jonathan.- Jman999

Cheap cans for electric keyboard?
Senn. 280s - Those are pretty big cans, might be a little impractical and from what I've heard they aren't all that comfortable.- Jman999

Cheap cans for electric keyboard?
My brother plays keyboard, He's using (Gasp!) Sony CD180s! They deserve to sit next to Sony MDR-V600 in terms of quality, in comparison to the HD497 they are terrble. My budget is around $30 or less. No preference for open or closed but must not leak a ton of sound like Grados. Perhaps some used...- Jman999

how good is the sennheiser hd497 compared to some other higher end models?
Considering the Beyer Dt231 can be had for almost the same price, the Senn. isn't a very good value.- Jman999

A500 comfort?
How comfortable are the A500? I've read a lot here, but I'm still not sure about them, because the last phone that I tried with pleather pads, the HD497, was horribly uncomfortable. Every time I moved even slightly they creaked loudly. They didn't feel very good against my ears either, so I'm...- Jman999

Where to buy DT231?
Is there a place where I can buy this locally? I live in Marietta, GA and want to be able to return these if I don't like them. Would Guitar Center have these in stock? Otherwise I'll probably buy these from TTVJ, as I understand he has a good return policy and an excellent reputation...- Jman999

headphones for an average eigth grader
So far I've seen every brand of sh**ty cans possible at my high school. Sony, Jensen, Koss (not KSC or portapros), and countless others that just plain suck. I haven't seen one quality headphone. . These kids aren't poor; they have expensive mp3 players, yet they use $5 headphones. I just don't...- Jman999

Senn. HD-25 questions
I'm also interested in the Beyer. DT 770 Pro/80 and the AT A500. Would those headphones be more comfortable because of their circumaural design? I definitely can't wear my glasses over the headphones.- Jman999

Senn. HD-25 questions
Has anyone who has glasses used these? Do they clamp too tightly? Also, my source is currently a Chaintech AV-710. How does the HD-25 sound directly out of the Chaintech? However, most of my music currently is low quality mp3s. Are the HD-25-1 at ALL forgiving? I'm going to start amassing a...- Jman999

Place to try-on headphones
Is there a place where I go and try on some of the headphone models I'm interested in? Or at least where I can buy them and easily return them if I don't like them? Comfort is a really big issue for me; I have a small head and small ears. In particular, I am interested in the Senn. HD-25-1...- Jman999
